Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe bus instructions were slightly unclear - as the number on the bus is different to the numbers given by the hotel - but once I figured that out it was very easy to catch it right from the front door.
Beautiful, good value hotel with incredible views, clean pool, varied breakfast and polite staff.

United KingdomThe staff at Hotel Don Felipe were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really delicious and had some wonderful little touches which I really appreciated (like the immune booster ginger and turmeric infusion). My partner and I had a lovely and restful break. I often travel solo and would readily stay at this hotel again either on my own, with my partner or with a group.

AustraliaIt is in a quieter, more isolated part of Ischia, difficult to get around without a vehicle. We opted for the buses but they are not very frequent and a lot of time was wasted waiting. The hotel can organise a reliable driver for you though. A small bar fridge is provided but no drinking glasses, which is odd.
The view!! We had a sea view room, and the balcony view was spectacular. The pool was a lovely temperature for soaking in after a long day, and the view from the pool was beautiful. The restaurant was affordable and nice, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent value.

RomaniaThe bus system in Ischia can be quite bad, not respecting the timetable. Sometimes it is hard to reach the property.
The location of this property is amazing! Perfect views over Castello Aragonese and over the bay. The sunrise at this property was one of the nicest experiences I have had in Italy! You can see the bay of Naples all the way from Capri to Procida. The staff was friendly, we arrived earlier than checkin/left later than checkout and we could store luggage and use the hotel facilities in the mean time. The staff also had nice activity recommendations. The meals they offer for lunch and dinner are very nice and the setting of their terrace is amazing. The value for money was very good for September in the Naples region. The breakfast had a wide choice. The pool is a bit small, but still large enough to enjoy for a short time.

FinlandBreakfast was great but there could have been more vegetarian options. The location was nice but a bit far from Ischia Porto and the bus schedules weren’t very accurate.
Views from the hotel were amazing and the room was very cozy and clean. The hotel staff was also extremely helpful and friendly. And the hotel’s rooftop restaurant was excellent with great views and very tasty food. Bonus points for the cat. Overall, we had an amazing holiday and enjoyed our visit very much!

ChileNothing to complain.
Staff was really friendly and helpful. Even extended service hours for us - late dinner and earlier breakfast made our stay just perfect. They also helped a lot getting around the island by providing reliable taxi service and excellent attraction advice.

Czech RepublicThere was a party at another hotel which was extremely loud till 12am also with the fireworks.. it could be told to us i think..some stuff on our room seemed to be old.. paper walls - i heard messenger notifications from another room.. the location was fine i liked that we could walk no longer than 20 minutes to be near Castello Aragonese, but the buses were crazy - only every 50 minutes interval each. Better with the car or scooter..
The hotel and the gardens were fabulous, i liked the swimming pool we had it for ourselves every morning and it is great you can use it 8-21 :) Receptionist was kind. The bed was perfect. Views are just amazing if you love to wake up and watch the sunrise..

SerbiaThe hotel does not have a private beach. You need to pay 15-30 euros a day per person just to go to the beaches owned by other hotels (you get a discount if you are from Don Felipe hotel). Also, some beach hotels demand from you to have a lunch at their restaurant (even though you paid your entrance fee). You would need to walk a bit more to arrive to some beaches with free entrance.
The location and the room sea view was great! Hosts are really pleasent and happy to help. The location is beatuiful, near the town and restaurants (there is a shortcut to the center and the castle). The breakfast is okay but most days the dishes are the same. They prepare home made juices, that is great.

Australiathere was a slight leakage problem that caused the floors to dampen at times. this did damage a novel o had sitting on the floor. However, when I notified a staff member that attentively cleaned up the wetness for me.
Don Felipe was fundamentally beautiful. It beheld a charm that most the Amalfi Coast has lost in past years due to buzzling tourists and scammerish rip off hotel chains. Independent, authentic, genuine and overall spectacular. Facilities, views and natural vistas and most importantly beverages, snacks and the soft warmth that emanated the team there. A true gem, indeed, I was reluctant to write such a gleaming review in efforts to gate-keep such a precious place. But hey, if you’ve come this far into reading this review- I guess you too deserve the the absolute pleasure of staying at such a wonderful place.
