Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

location was very hard as buses are very limited. only travel each hour from the airport. Bus did not turn up at one point so waited 2 hours for a bus.

The double bad was actually 2 singles twin beds put together and fooled us because it looked like a queen size bed. The room was clean tho.
We really liked the staff( the 2 receptionists that we saw) because they smiled, gave us a the answers to our questions, were very helpful and nice people. This hotel is good value for the money, sadly their breakfast was closed due to Covid. Also the free parking is a bonus ! you just need to take the bus 19 at 50m away and do a 20 min ride to reach center Venice.

Electricity went out for a long while. Banging and breaking of tiles started at 8:30am each morning.
Friendly staff. You get what you pay for. Location next to bus in and out of Venice was very convenient. Fruit stand nearby plus take away pizza across the street.

Maybe it is time to renovate the bathroom.
The guy at the reception was really nice, he told us everything how to go to city center and other useful information. We stayed just one night and we got what we expected. The room was ok, nothing special, but we booked this place because of the parking and that there is a bus station to Venice nearby.

We could not get breakfast due to covid regulations, but you can find at least 3 café / bars within 1-2 minutes to have a coffee and some sandwich or croissant.
Very good location, close to the highway, easy to find. Public transportation (both bus & tram) within 2 mins. walk. They can take you right to Venice old town with a 20-30 minutes ride. Prices are moderate. The receptionist guy was great, always smiling, very helpful.

The bed was a bit sagged. The receptionist said that there were two buses (19 and 4) but 19 was the best. We asked what time the last bus back went, he said 23:30. This was true for 19, but it turned out bus 4 went back till far into the night (I think around 2) so it would have saved us some stress to know that there were still options, and this bus only took 10 min longer than 19. Overall though great bang for buck, very satisfied with the budget option.
The location was perfect, just outside of Venice and great bus connection. Just 20 minutes and you’re in Venice with bus 19, which stops just around the corner. The room was clean, simpel but good if you just want to sleep there. The desk staff was very nice and helpful.

It is kinda traditional hotel and very old style. The key chain was a heavy one and hoping it will improve.
The staff are very accomodating and the location was a good stay since it is near grocery, bakery and the tram/bus stop. You can also buy tickets in the stop which is a good one since not all stops can offer you a ticket. It is 30 minutes from Venezia and this hotel is open for 24 hours.

nothing really. only the building is too old and there was no fridge in the room

Nevertheless, it is not in the island and to stay here means that you will have to come back from Venice with the last buses, making the daily trip to be forcibly at 11:00pm, the latest. Around the Hotel there is nothing like nightlife or anything, and that is another thing to take into account. Depending on the nature of the trip this can be a con.
The place is really clean and its location is not so far from Venice, just 20 minutes in bus to the very center of the island. The staff is nice and the price was remarkable.

Air conditioning did not work and the shower doors were broken.
The room has been nicely renovated except for the worst painting ever on the roof and the shower doors are broken. But an old hotel being done up nicely with quality bed and really excellent value for money.
