OK, this is the place I always book when coming to Catania. Carlo and his staff are just amazing- friendly, courteous and very accommodating. The location is absolutely amazing, on via Etnea, in the heart of the city, in an old historic palazzo that is fabulous. Room is spacious and very clean. I can't wait to return in June- grazie Carlo & staff for your great service :)

The TV didn’t work and wasn’t fixed despite me asking one AM. But this is SO minor, as I only wanted to turn it on for background noise once. The reception also gave an Asian tourist an eye roll one time for asking to eat breakfast in the parlour. So it’s just for show and to taunt guests??!!

The location is ACE. Seriously, I can see few better. You’re literally off the heart of Via Etna and yet the street is quiet. I had a room with an outside bathroom. Both were immaculately clean. Good water pressure for the shower and hot water anytime. Hair dryer provided too. Honestly the walk from my room to the bathroom is not that big a deal and I knew it was separate going in. The bed was SO comfortable! Not too hard nor too soft. Pillows also very good, in that vein of being perfectly medium. There’s an extra duvet in the roomy closet as the floor tiles are cold. You can put heating on though: there’s an AC unit with directions for best and cold. I didn’t turn it on so I don’t know how well it heats. Desk in the room to work as well if you wish. The room fridge is benefit and the host kindly offers gratis a cooled bottle of water and a soda in there. Definitely comfortable for solo traveler or a couple for a few nights. Wifi was overall great for uploading photos and videos on social but a bit iffy with video calls. Absolutely gorgeous salon/parlour!

Perfect location! Balcony right over the main shopping blvd. Either end had historic churches. The hotel is historic and lovely. It has an elevator and an individual cup coffee maker. The bathroom is external from the bedroom, but it is your own private bathroom. The room is the perfect size with a desk, bench, full-length mirror, mini fridge w/bottled water, and closet. There is a code for the street door that makes it easy to get in, so you don't have to fumble for your keys on the street. The street markets are super close. It's just a fantastic spot

Check-out at 10:30 is a little early. Bathroom soap should be refilled more regularly. More bathroom amenities (shower cap) would be nice.

I can’t complain about anything. We were there just one night before a flight out.

I would say this is old world charm. If you like a “Sheraton” style hotel (bright, modern, sterile) don’t stay here. The room was very clean, lovingly appointed and quite large. It overlooked the main pedestrian road (Via Etnea), where people congregated and strolled all day and night. The hotel has no food. But further up Etnea, we found a terrific little cafe serving omelettes. And it was one block away from Wine Bar Razmataz, a fun lively place that serves food, although we dined elsewhere. We ended up there for a nightcap.

EVERYTHING- and I mean, EVERYTHING. The hotel is located on via Etnea, the main artery in Catania- literally in the heart of the city, close to everything. The building is a palazzo, which means you can expect some jaw-dropping decor. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Very clean. Staff is quite friendly and accommodating. I loved my stay in the magnificent 18e century building right in the middle of the center of Catania. It was extremly convenient and comfortable to arrive there , my first destination in Sicily after a long trip. Close to the beautiful piazza and cathedrale . Very nice staff and helpful , very efficient I thought. I highly recommend.

The bathroom is a bit tired but that's kind of the point with the aesthetic!

I loved how the staff were so accommodating and the bed was really comfortable. The location is perfect, not loud at all! Also, the rooms and building is so grand, you feel like you're in a palace!
