Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There are a lot of stairs which I think would have been a problem for some people .
Very clean . Good location . Breakfast could have been better . More variety . Dining area a bit cramped . Alessandro the receptionist was extremely helpful and knowledgeable .

Rooms a little small compared to American Hotels but likely very good for typical hotel in Florence.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good albeit European style. Great location for Duomo and Ufizzi.

I didn't like that they still use old school keys and there was only one. That makes it a bit inconvenient to split up and do different things around town.
The staff was very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was pretty good as well.

Nothing really Maybe more diversity for breakfast such as pancakes, scrambled eggs/sausage, bananas etc.
Welcoming,very friendly desk staff. They kept our luggage while we went to cinque terre. Nice clean room, good daily housekeeping and free toiletries Small Breakfast included No elevator but not a big deal for us Close to train station, landmarks and shops We certainly recommend this hotel

The shower was broken. We could not switch from the rain ceiling shower head to the other handheld tool and vice versa. The hotel employees pretended it was not broken but the digit allowing the transition was totally broken. The hotel employees knew about it and gave us a pair of tweezers. That allowed us to use the shower head that time. But we struggled with that the rest of our stay. The hotel should stop all this circus and have the shower repaired.

It's a little difficult for families with children because there are a lot of stairs in hotel.

The breakfast was fine; indistinguishable from other hotels with a lower price point. But the staff there helpful and friendly as well.
The room was extremely spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was also spacious with good pressure. The location couldn’t be beat; right in the middle of restaurants and shops yet our room was very quiet at night. Convenient parking. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. I would stay there again.

No problems or dislikes. I would stay here again.
Location was excellent, so close to the Duomo and short walks to the art museums. Breakfast buffet was well appointed with everything you could ask for. Reception staff, Francesca, was so helpful and kind. We used the luggage storage as well which had a dedicated room which was great. The street the hotel is located on is lively and safe with great dinner restaurants only 6 steps from the hotel entrance.

Elegant clean rooms, great location! But, above all, I have appreciated the staff - they are friendly, helpful and honest people. And, thanks to their kind reccomendation, we have also discovered a great restaurant that serves vegetarian food. Very pleased with my stay there. Highly reccomended!

Small room. No elevator. Simple cold breakfast. Somewhat limited selection.
First and foremost the staff was exceptional. We would particularly like to thank Alessandro at the front desk as he was friendly, welcoming, helpful and informative. He took a great deal of time with us helping find our way through Florence to the car rental agency and provide great directions on where to park after we picked up the car. He was a wealth of information and just fun to talk with. He was superb and the other front desk folks and breakfast room staff were very good as well. The location is great - very close to the main sites such as the Medici Chapel and the Duomo. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean.

Good location, near train station and touristic zone, restaurants & museums. Excellent breakfast. Bathroom is nice & clean. Normal wifi connection. Reception is in hotel ( nowadays it is became a big advantage). Quiet room.
