Dated decor, and didn’t figure out how to turn our heater off until our last night because instructions were tucked away in a drawer. Laundry was very expensive so we didn’t use the service. The hotel was quite far from the train/bus stations and the waterbus only saved 1/3 of the walking time, so it was quite difficult to get there with all our luggage. Breakfast seemed a bit expensive for what was available - all hot food cost extra on top of the breakfast price. Also, the hotel requested you leave the key with reception whenever going in and out, and the key had a very heavy key ring attached to discourage you taking it with you, but this was a bit annoying when having to wait for a staff member to be free at the reception desk simply to leave the hotel.

Very spacious room, and clean facilities. Very good location for visiting the main tourist attractions and walking around the centro storico area. Staff were friendly.

Stairs …but there was only one set, from three to four, where my single room was located. If you are impaired be sure to verify your room selection.

Location next to Opera House, why I stayed there. Staff very nice, helpful.. Spotlessly clean, beautiful public rooms and patios. Breakfast had ‘American’ coffee in addition to espresso, etc. I will stay there again, no question.

Breakfast was very nice, however we found it expensive per person compared to our other venues across Italy. 15 Euros each compared to less than 10 elsewhere for the same options.

The room was very hot, even after we turned off the heating, and this was January. Maybe the heat was coming from rooms below? Anyway, it was nice to sleep with the window open a bit.

Comfortable and clean room, individually and artfully furnished. Friendly and helpful staff and a good buffet breakfast, all in charming surroundings right next to the opera house. Outdoor terrace looks nice for warmer weather.

I would come back if I could.

It was walking distance from most of sites I wanted to visit. Great breakfast with savory options. Independent restaurant nearby. Our room has sliding doors so my daughter and I had some privacy. Usual small shower, they made up the sofa as a bed with an extra mattress and gave me a blanket when asked. Old fashion key was kept by staff when you went out. The hotel had the right style and atmosphere for Venice.

As a minor comment- the bathroom was quite small, but all functioned well.

The location was really great. Close to the opera and in walking distance to Piazza San Marco, but very quiet to stay and sleep. You can follow the Street signs "Teatro Le Fenice". The staff was very friendly and helpful. We have booked a room with a terrace and it was nice to go outside and look at a small bridge and a canal and enjoy the Venetian architecture. Breakfast was typically Italian with nice Croissants, Toast, Ham and Cheese and boiled eggs and cereals and fruits. We have parked outside Venice at Venice City Parl SRL for € 5,50 per 24 hours, and went one station by bus to Piazzale La Rome and the go by waterbus. We can recommend it, you can really safe money by this (compared to € 35 or 45 per day).

While there were no specific dislikes, the only minor points of consideration were the narrowness of the bed and the relatively modest size of the room. Nevertheless, despite these aspects, the room maintained a comfortable atmosphere and proved spacious enough for a satisfactory stay.
