Once again, our stay at Il Fuoco Di Archimede Ortigia was simply magical. You could not ask for a better location. Situated in the heart of Ortigia, just around the corner from the main shopping area and best restaurants. The accommodation itself is immaculate and literally looks like something that would grace the pages of Architectural Digest. And what truly makes our stays so special is Alessandra - a consummate host who is kind, thoughtful and goes above and beyond to ensure you have the best time in Ortigia.

Clean, great facilities, excellent location. Laundry facilities, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning. Alessandra was a great communicator and very kind.

Except for getting lost a few times. Parking in the station was hard to follow but our host helped us out.

Apartment was clean, tidy spacious, well furnished. Alessandra provided fruit, bread, milk water etc for us on arrival. Also was in contact with us regularly to make sure all was OK.

Nothing that we didn't like.

A truly beautiful apartment right in the centre of Ortigia with fantastic facilities. It has been designed and decorated really nicely. The owner was there to meet us and helped us with our bags; she then directed us to a nearby car park (25 euros per day) The location was absolutely perfect and there is a convenience shop only 30 metres away. We were able to go out around Ortigia, but return to the apartment for lunch or for snacks as it was so conveniently situated. There are many restaurants close by, so you are spoilt for choice. No noise at night

We had a fantastic 3 nights in Alessandro's place. The flat is lovely. She left us fruit and other food items which was a lovely touch. The location is great, paid parking is about 10 mins walk away.

all was perfect. Be aware that you have to park about 500m from accomodation as in restricted car zone but car park was easy to find.

Location was so central to restaurants and sites. The accomodation was stocked well with breakfast and cooking items. Alexandra was very helpful with meeting us and tips on local area. Beautifully decorated.

I can’t recommend Il Fuoco di Archimede - Ortigia highly enough- it’s in the perfect location to explore Ortigia, with a minutes walk to the main shopping area. The apartment is very spacious - with 2 large, ensuite bedrooms, big comfortable beds, a stylish, fully fitted kitchen and lovely bathrooms. No expense was spared on interior touches either - exposed original stonework, inlaid tile floors and beautiful soft furnishings. A space you would expect to see on the pages of World of Interiors. And Alessandra was a fantastic host and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Ortigia is always amazing, but our stay at Il Fuoco di Archimede - Ortigia made it magical. We can’t wait to visit again and just hope this place will be available!

We liked everything

Apartment is very spacious and in a great location. Apartment is well equipped with everything needed (food, toiletries, extra pillows and blankets, etc)Alesssandra is an incredible host. She found us transportation to every sight we wanted to see. She really made our stay extra special.

The pressure in the both bathroom showers was virtually non existent - i had read earlier reviews about this but thought they may have exaggerated the issue but they didn't. I'm not sure what can be done to remedy as I understand these buildings are very old? No toilet seat provided in the ensuite bathroom which was puzzling and disappointing? The kitchen cupboards could all do with a clean and tidy up - lots of unnecessary items notably under sink and it was a bit grubby because of that. Likewise the laundry was full of cleaning products and equipment that was not in any kind of order making it difficult to clean and thus it was not clean or tidy. Equally, the wardrobes were full of extra quilts pillows blankets etc which made it difficult to hang anything - they could also do with a clean up and tidy.

The location was perfect - only one street back from Corso Giacomo right near Piazza Archimede. Alessandra couldn't have been more welcoming. The layout of the unit was great - the bedrooms quiet, spacious and comfortable. The addition of the washing machine was very welcome.
