Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyOur "Junior Suite" was indeed quite big, that was good. But the bathroom was very old, maybe from the 60s. It was very used up. It had the charm of an economy apartment. The whirlpool did not work, because the entire pump system was missing. Overall the apartment is good for one night. With a better bathroom we definitely would recommend the Junior Suite.
The breakfast was very good, with a fantastic view over the venezian lagoon. The check-in was very easy and flexible, because we got a keycode.

United KingdomAlthough we were able to access the front door with a code, we didn’t have a key for the letterbox where we were told the room keys had been left.Fortunately there was another guest who found someone upstairs who found the keys in an envelope for us, however they didn’t have our names on it.We missed breakfast on the first morning as we don’t speak Italian and thought the lovely lady had said that breakfast wasn’t available, only the tea etc in the room.We did have it the 2nd day after the cleaner -also a lovely lady- explained that it was upstairs between 08.40-11am . We had paid for breakfast for 2 days but saw the funny side so we didn’t ask for a refund . It would be a good idea to have a book in the rooms in several languages giving information about breakfast and how the tv worked although we didn’t need to watch it. Unfortunately the large shower head was broken but the other was great as well as the rest of the large bathroom.
The location was perfect -especially as I was exhibiting work during The Venice Bienniale- surrounded by excellent restaurants and bars .The views from our junior suite were priceless and the water bus stops were only 5 mins walk away 👌The bed was huge and so comfortable with extra blankets and pillows provided if needed. There was plenty of tea, coffee and a couple of soft drinks provided and a handy hairdryer. The staff were adorable and let us leave our luggage in the reception as we were catching a late flight back.

CanadaIt was very hard to find the hotel from the description and address. I was surprised that it was a 3rd floor walk up with no elevator.
The room and the breakfasts were very nice. The location is very good just near the Arsenale and the Musée Maritime.

It’s a nice property in the more quiet part of the city.

CanadaThe room was small and could barely accommodate 2 open suitcases, one out of necessity on the floor. The shower in the bathroom was so tiny my husband could barely close the doors and he is not an overly large man. There were 2 tiny packets one of shampoo and one of body wash each with only enough for one person’s shower. The first day the cleaner would not give me more though she later relented. The next day I was given more but it struck me as rather stingy for the cost of the accommodation.
The owner, present every morning, was gracious and helpful with advice and suggestions. The view from the dining area was gorgeous and I guess it is that and the convenient location is what you pay for.

PolandNo elevator, super tiny room, view on the wall and the bathroom vis a vis. Poor acoustics - doors between the rooms made it very noisy, bathroom doors not closing, tiny shower and poor water pressure
