No local shop for snacks and water, as we hadn't rented a car we were limited. Nice local restaurant and small taverna up the road great for a change of scenery, but if going again I would definitely hire a car.

Spotlessly clean, quiet, breakfast lovely, lunch and dinner in the restaurant fab, staff friendly and helpful. Overall super value and an amazing spot for a quiet break. Grounds and gardens lovely to relax in.

WiFi was not that good but better than last year and also functioned reasonably on our rooms. Could be better though. The hammocks in the garden were all vandalised, which was a shame because we loved hanging 'round in those for a bit. The bunkbed was a bit shaky and could use an upgrade. Some furniture in the room was a bit ... dated (desk, wardrobe).

The hotel has a magnificent garden, with a very nice pool and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. It also has its own access to the lake and there are some nice places to sit at edge of the water. The kitchen is sublime; we loved eating here, although it can be a bit pricey due to the Italian way of eating (4 courses is standard). The staff is very friendly and they speak English pretty well. Breakfast is also decent and a perfect fit for this price class. If you're looking for a nice and quiet, not too massive, hotel that is also affordable in the area of Lucca / Pisa, you could do a lot worse than Le Rotonde for sure. The building of the hotel is marvelous; an older building with character. No elevator though (but only two stories high). When we left, we received a bottle of wine from that area. Wow, what a great finishing touch!

Breakfast should be open earlier than 8am. Need to improve soundproofing and update shower facilities.

Quiet location with good access to main cities. beautiful garden. The food was very good. Kind staff.

The public transportation was 3 kilometers away, not doable with heavy package. It was difficult to get taxi either. There were no bikes at the hotel, which we could have rented but we heard from the owner, that next year there will be some.

The personnel was very friendly. The owner even drove us to the nearest bus stop (3 kilometers away) when leaving the hotel. Some of the dinners were really tasty.

There was a garden party going on until 1am. Not ok. Then close hotel for other guests OR stop to noise at 11. Quite selfish to book AND a party AND regular guests.

Late check in was possible and appreciated. The room was well organized with plenty of storage space and comfy large bed. The restaurant served delicious food and was always able find a table for us. The pool and the facilities nearby were lovely arranged. There were some hammocks set up and child play area and more. The walk to the lake and the area around it was nicely set up again.

Some parents who don't take care of their children, at the pool area. There are of course the normal rules. (If not educated, innocent children are as usual happily playing and splashing all over the piscina.) In the best of worlds there wouldn't be smoking allowed on the balcony, because the smoke is sucked in through the AC of nearby rooms.

Very well kept hotel. Splendid service. Swift working staff. Fine restaurant (don't miss the local dolce, "la dolce di Versilia"). We will certainly return from time to time, to relax for some days before drivning further. It is well worth to stay here a bit longer.

Very thin walls - can hear all your neighbours

Nothing really.

The food was amazing and good priced. The staff is great. The swimming pool is really nice. Everything is so close by car, the beach is 20 minutes (Viareggio), Pisa is close by and other big city. The surrounding area is quiet and has a lot of nice restaurants with amazing wine.

Idyllic rural boutique hotel with top restaurant, stunning big garden and perfect size swimming pool. Had one of the best romantic lunches with wife. Close to sea with miles of sandy beach with just the right size waves for tons of family fun. Plus so much more there to return and explore.
