Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was construction happening on the property that woke us up early in the morning. Breakfast was not with the price.
Room was nice and clean, staff were friendly and location was great.

The furniture in the room looked old but still worked. I think the curtains were heavy on the cornice and were about to fall. When we informed them, they fixed it immediately.
Hello, it was a pleasure staying with Hotel Lombardi, Great location, near train, tram and bus station and public areas, also walkable distance for places to visit. Reception Staff was great about everything, they were extremely hospitable and explained in detail where and how we could reach and guided us in the right direction. We stayed as two family with 1 year old kid. The breakfast was nice and delicious beyond our expectations. The Lady in breakfast area was so nice and kind, the coffees she made were delicious. The bathroom was clean and renovated. They helped for baby bed at 2nd night.

Room was very small for two people. No place to for a chair and no place to hang a towel. Pillows very flat

the bed was not so comfortable and very tiny shower place. the wall very thin. you can hear your neighbour flushing and if they're running water. there was a leak from the ceilimg in my toilet on the first day i stayed. but it stopped and doesnt really bother me.
excellent location from central station. there is lift to help bring the suitcase up. there is refrigerator in the room as well. staff is helpful :)

The air circulation in the room should improve. The Ventilator switch in the bath should be separate from the light.

The room only had one window opening to an enclosed courtyard. It also had shutters which blocked most of the light.
We had a great location … right in the middle of all of the action. The front desk personnel were welcoming, friendly & helpful.

As it is in a lovely old building, the walls are a bit thin so for those who prefer better sound isolation might want to reconsider.
Very good location, very friendly staff! Everything is within walking distance from the hotel so there's less hassle to get around Florence.

A second chair in the bedroom would have been nice, but otherwise fantastic value for money.
Staff were very helpful, location was fabulous. The breakfast that was included was lovely. Very clean with a spacious bedroom, with firm-ish comfortable beds, private bathroom.

Friendly, clean and welcoming, and surprisingly quiet for such a central area. Location is great for walking into the historic city and transport links - 5 minutes from the tram to the airport, and the railway station. Helpful staff always available.

Tiny, tiny shower
A lovely little hotel just outside of the centre but close enough to walk everywhere in Florence. Pleasantly surprised with the room, dated decor but comfy bed and pillows for 3 good night's sleep after exploring the city. Super quiet as well so very restful.

The room has nothing inside apart from a bed and a wardrobe. The bathroom is pretty old and needs renovation. They don’t give any basic toiletries. The pillows were very thin and uncomfortable.

A bit noisy so make sure to bring earplugs for sleeping.
Hotel is comfortable, safe and welcoming. It's located very a short walk to the S.M. Train Station. The breakfast costs 7 euros per person and worth it because you have a choice of pastries 🥐, coffee or tea, juice and jam. It's also located centrally to all cultural and scenic attractions by foot. The hotel hosts were gracious and helpful. Our room was simply furnished but as a good, small shower.

Bathrooms are quirky . But just ok
Quaint old property. Excellent location just 4 minutes from the station but in a quiet street . Also within 10 to 20 minutes of all attractions . We walked everywhere, sometimes coming back for a nap in the middle of the day. Loads of restaurants nearby also shopping. The room is large and clean. The beds are just ok. The iron frame is too light and the move with the slightest nudge very annoying. The shower cubicle is tiny and requires quite a manouvre to shower in. The bidet far away from the pot . Again very annoying. Essentially an old property remodeled somewhere along the way. So slightly quirky off things . But nothing that's a deal breaker. I would highly recommend it . The staff is absolutely wonderful. Always greet with a smile. What a pleasure indeed.

Basic facilities for the price (€110+). Wouldn't really recommend staying for multiple nights unless you spend most of your time out. Quite a lot of noise audible from the street.
The location is absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
