There is a construction side on the side of the second pool so the view is not pretty and the terrain rough. I guess the hotel is building another bungalow. Once that is done and more plants planted around it will be lovely I'm sure. You really cannot explore the neighbourhood by foot as there is absolutely no side walk and cars drive fast on the main street. Otto did warn me of this so I have no complaints but wanted to flag it. Since I didn't have a car and was walking with kids we had to take Übers to the nearby supermarket (just 300m) and the next village (ca 1km) We paid 10Eur for each trip. I definitely had better breakfast in Sicily but we had everything we needed to start the day off with full bellies:) the fresh croissants were wonderful. I missed fresh (proper) juice and more fruit but enjoyed the freshly cut prosciutto. Grazie!

A family friendly Villa hotel surrounded by a garden offering a great view of Etna, two pools with sun beds around them to enjoy. We had a wonderful large room with a balcony and and a great view over the pools and the vulcano. One day we heard sheep on the neighbouring property all day and sound of their bells was very relaxing. The staff was lovely, the breakfast was nice and enough. I would describe it as continental plus:) There were a few games for kids and many books and magazines to read everywhere. Guest can store their own food in a large fridge near the breakfast room and use the sink, plates and microwave to prepare own lunches or simple dinner.

Perfect stay. Great value for money. Location very quiet but brilliant for us as we love driving around the craziness of Catania. You do need a car though! Hosts are great, they’re on hand or via text for any information. Their staff are so polite and friendly too. A big up to Tomasso, lovely young lad 👌🏻

The location, you cannot walk around because there is no sidewalk on the main street (though it's not a property fault)

First of all, the view of Etna ! Pool was very good (again, having Etna in front of you all the time :) ... and breakfast too. The owners were very kind and attentive.

We really enjoyed our stay here with our child. It is a beautiful place with 2 swimming pools and lovely gardens. Our son loved it too, asit has a small playing area and a tree house! The hosts are very welcoming and helpful.. The rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic, everything fresh and the pastries baked every morning. It is the perfect place for family with kids to spend their holiday. Highly recommended!

Not much could be better, a few more hangers for our clothes would have been useful.

An exceptionally well run and spotlessly clean B&B, Ottomood also excels with it's warm, friendly welcome and the quality of it's staff. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The pool was a lovely spot to relax. A special mention to the breakfast staff who were delightful and very patient as we attempted to use our very basic Italian. There are some lovely restaurants locally (although you will need to drive). We tried pizza at a farmhouse one evening and the staff there were incredible. I had mis-read the information and so we turned up early, before they had officially opened. The staff welcomed us with real generosity considering they were still enjoying what looked to be their pre-opening meal and the food was delicious. Alessa organised a fabulous tour of Etna for us and recommended we visit Catania; this turned out to be an unexpected gem, the guide books weren't very encouraging but we had a fantastic day exploring the city. We also enjoyed a fantastic day in Taormina, a short drive away.

The property was slightly away from Catania meaning getting to Central Catania on the bus is difficult, especially since the last bus back to the property was only at 7:30pm. However, if you took a taxi it isn’t bad.

I liked the homey and comfortable the staff members made you feel. It was perfect getaway in the outskirts of Catania. Was extremely clean and the breakfast service was tasty and offered various of breakfast options. Beautifully designed house.

You have to go by car to the nearest restaurants even though it was only 10 minutes away on foot. Reason being, it is dangerous to walk in a road without a pavement.

The property is quite nice, and the fact that it has a pool helps. Breakfast was very good and abundant. Rooms were clean although ours was a bit small.

Really helpful staff, who kept in regular communication in the lead up to our stay. Our flight was diverted, meaning we didn't get to the B&B until 2am. However, the self check-in arrangements were smooth, stress-free and explained clearly. Lovely pool with an amazing view of Mount Etna.

Parking is on the street. There is a weird system with the electricity in the rooms. After opening the door, you have 15 mins of electricity, or you have to push a button to indicate that yes you are still in the room. In theory, this gives you electricity until you open the door again. In practice, the electricity went away at random times in the room, we had to get up in the middle of the night to push the button, even so in the morning it was switched off again. So no AC while it was switched off (in 30+ degrees C), and we went to the airport in the morning with non-charged phones. Very weird system which has problems, and becomes frustrating very fast.

The property is gorgeous. Pools are nice, common areas and patio are very very beautiful. Host is beyond excellent, she was very kind and welcoming. Also because time pressure we had some extra wishes, she tried to help in all of them. A very beautiful place to stay. Location is nothing special, though.

We loved everything. The property is perfectly located to explore Etna and local area with kids attractions like Etnaland and Gole Alcantara parks. Our kids loved the 2 swimming pools and the well maintained garden. Very clean and comfortable rooms with modern furniture and a fantastic terrace. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff and guests. Highly recommended!!

Rooms do not have a mini fridge which comes in handy especially in the summer months. Property does not serve soft drinks, beer, wine. Also lacks food service except for breakfast. One needs to go get supplies from elsewhere when opting to stay relaxing at the property

The property is in a quiet a tranquil area. Property is kept clean indoors and ourdoors. Good sized rooms and also good sized and comfy bathrooms. Breakfast is well prepared. Pool area is great. A new pool was also made available. Friendly hosts Alessia and Otto.

Very peaceful and tasteful. 2 swimming pools was a great surprise. Although most rooms were occupied, we aster alone by the pools most of the time😘 rooms are comfortable and equipped with nice gadgets like USB sockets, TV in bathroom etc
