weak Wi-Fi that doesn’t cover all rooms, but it is normal with such old houses with massive walls. I understand that everything in this property is museum worthy and needs special restoration even for the slightest defect, but some extra attention to wall paint and or cleaning would be nice.

Position, size of rooms, view of the balcony, furniture, murals, ambient. This is a special place. One of a kind.

Super centrally located in the historic city centre, spacious, beautiful and clean apartment, well-equipped, terrace with lake view, very friendly staff; great swimming pool at their manor (at 2,5 km from the apartment; best to bring your own pool towels). Restaurant downstairs (called 909) deserves 10 out of 10 score for their meat dishes - absolutely fabulous quality, made with pride!

Kitchen utensils were few and poor quality. The AC broke down and became noisy but we were compensated for that. Cleaning of floors could be better.

Beautiful rooms. The roofterrace was great. Central location in a small but wonderful town. Nice staff. Nice pool though a bit far away (car necessary). Restaurant in same house made great food.

- nothing. The Palace is an awesome gem and probably the best structure in the town. Just some minimal hints: baths have bad smell sometimes and lights maintain a bit of light even if turned off

- rooms: Suite with Terrace - Brando is probably the best suite you can find on Castiglione - landscape: it is provably the only Hotel that offers a terrace with the awesome landscape of the lake - perfectly connected with the medieval atmosphere of the town. Rooms are ancient but overall well maintained - the owner is extremely available and it will do anything he can in order to satisfy your needs/problems

Highly outdated and in need of renovation. We had an apartment overlooking the lake (mainly from the roof terrace, just a glimpse from the bedroom) Master bedroom/bathroom could not be used due to the stench (it smelled musty). As a result, we were forced to take the smaller bedroom. Friendly and helpful staff, but it does not feel good to receive an email after departure asking to rate the stay with a 10 at booking.com

There is no option for breakfast, but the apartment had kitchen, unfortunately...the dishes didn't seem clean, the coffee machine had old capsule in it and there was no salt/pepper/some oil or dish soap, though for the price one would somehow expect these few details, that would make it actually possible to find the kitchen useful. Also electrical vehicle charging station does not belong to the property and the public parking is also quite far way.

The hotel is in a good location and spacious.

The bed was very uncomfortable.It was like sleeping on a rock . The shower was in the bath top and difficult to use . The internet did not work at all. Also , all the restaurants did not serve dinner before 0730 hrs at night , which is quite late , when you are travelling and have been up since 6 am . But the experience we guess was worth it .

The location was just incredible . The building we entered was erected in 800 A.D. It was like living in a museum . The room and living area were perfect . The balcony just magical as you could get a glimpse from the beautiful lake . The little area around was like out of a painting. Nicely located to see the Tuscany and Umbria. The host was super friendly and knowledgeable.

Condition of the room. Poor wifi. It was not obvious that the spa is not in the building at all. Very obvious water damage on the ceiling. Cracks in the walls and floors. Very shabby. Small things like the shower head give the impression that the rooms are not well maintained. Lacking attention to detail. I hope the owners look into this.

Worst place we stayed our entire trip- lack of communication and follow-up, all around unprofessional which is unfortunate because it's in a good location and has potential to be a great stay. we understand rooms are old and have character but they smelled musty/moldy with ripped furniture and hard beds. we were supposed to stay 2 nights here but took the hit and left after 1. we never received a response from Brando when we called/messaged him this.

The location was good in the middle of the town and the rooms were spacious.

ancient air conditioning that makes a grinding noise every 20 seconds - not great ancient beds with mattresses that need replacing ancient pluming - shower flooded the bathroom unless only used at a trickle we paid for cleaning every day ( 280 Euro) - sadly this was just superficial and our toddler crawling on the floor had black hands and knees each time she did it

Paid overnight parking outside village walls, so not secure with a car full of luggage.

Eclectic appartment, nice hilltop village, very comfy bed! Hamman. Local restaurant.
