The location can be tough for backpack travellers and if you have a big car the roads in Brunnate are quite narrow.

The view of the lake is really good and with a clear weather you get a stunning panorama. The hosts are really good people, they try to help as much as they can and they are really social with you.

The road going up to the hotel was challenging. Gotta' be an expert driver. Only small European cars will fit on this steep road.

Great service and great authentic Italian food. Best view of Como! Big lodge style room. Accommodation is perfect for the hikers and bikers who wants seclusion or privacy away from the city.

The walk from the funiculare is a kilometer long and quite steep-- the road is narrow. I would never have made it in my own had a couple I bumped bumped into not given me a ride. The owner is willing to pick up guests by car from the funiculare station, but one needs to call him in advance. The info on Booking.com was a bit deceptive in this respect as it made it seem that it was an easy walk. Certainly not with a suitcase!

The location was beautiful. Gorgeous view of Como and the lake. Breakfast was generous and excellent. The restaurant (I ate dinner there), was excellent as well - everything home made and delicious. Family that runs it is lovely. Room was simple, but cute. Very clean.

Most amazing view from restaurant patio of Lake Como end/end. The family run hotel provided very friendly/home service. It’s a bit hard to find, and I got lost on my way up and ended up back in town, but the owner, Roberto drove into Como, found me and escorted me back to the hotel. Food was amazing as well. Great value once you find it! 👍👍

The hotel integrates all advantages for enjoying the beauty of como lake. In nature, out of crowding city during a hot weekend, when the lake sides were full of people. Once you choose to live here you have chance to taste both Urban life in Como and peaceful wildlife in Brunate. Take the cable railway from the lake and then the staff from hotel can transport you to the hotel if you contact in advance, no worries about the traffic and routines in mountain. Unbelievable friendly staff and service, it's not something you can always experience in business hotels, no matter how many stars they have. And the last but important, fair price for both accomodation and authentic dinners. I have booked at last second on a hot season weekend. I do not think I need to look for any other place to live, when I will come to Como again.

The included breakfast was basic but suited me perfectly and gave me a great start to the day. Unlimited coffee! Great views overlooking Lake Como and a very helpful, very friendly family running the place.
