Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room could use a little touch up.
This hotel is very good value for money. Lots of space for parking and the gates are closed for the night. Checking in was flawless and very fast. We got a big room with view to the Etna Volcano, amazing! Nice and cozy design, big bed, all toiletries provided. Small refrigerator in the room to cool down your drinks/snacks. Nice breakfast with optional hot food (eggs prepared to your liking), croissants with a cute filling station for them, fresh fruit, yogurts, good coffee. Nice breakfast room with lots of sun. The staff at the hotel made us feel very welcome.

The pool could have been open May 1 is the start of the "season" however the pool and other facilities were not open so no bar, no restaurant

Could not understand why they had a disgustingly dirty stained carpet going up to and on the first floor. Definite turn off and impact on rating.
Room was large and clean. There was plenty of parking. Breakfast was very nice. A/C and WiFi worked well.

We spent most of our time in Sicily going around and exploring, so we didnt really spend that much time at the hotel. However, breakfast was very good, amd everything was fresh and there were good choices and varieties. The room was clean and it had everything we needed. Staff and service was really good

The room is quite basic and needs some refurbishment. Breakfast wasn't great either.
The staff at reception was great and even allowed us a late checkout. The spa was also good.

Service was zero. We arrived and we're given a key card that does not open the door. My husband had to go down to get someone who eventually came to show us a trick to open the door. Apparently the door was jammed n needed a special push to open it. Rooms were so basic and zero sound proofing. Apart from the traffic noise, we had to also try to sleep through a wedding party at the pool. Breakfast in the morning was pathetic for a 4- star hotel, the girl at the counter just asked for our room number and that's it. She stood by herself behind the counter and I had to walk up to her to order our coffee....I was surprised that she actually served our coffee (which by the way tasted so bland that one can't imagine one is in Italy aka coffee country). So those of you who claimed wonderful for breakfast, I suggest you make a trip to Singapore or any part of Asia, you will know what buffet breakfast means. For the price we paid, I felt completely ripped off....need I say more
