Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaIt would have been nice to have more snacks available through the day as there was no lunch service.
It was a nice cozy country property that had a homey feel to it. We enjoyed the infinity pool in the afternoons. The staff were very helpful and booked e-bikes for us as well as dinner reservations. We loved our room with the beams on the ceiling and nice large bathroom and beautiful view.

NetherlandsWe had an amazing time thanks to everyone that made it so. A very beautiful place, very well maintained, very helpful and friendly people, amazing food, great service. Talking with the owner was very special. After we checked out, we came back for the next day, just to have a coffee. Felt just like home.

RomaniaThe hotel location is so good that we decided to slow down the pace of our vacation and spend more time relaxing in the yard or by the pool. The area is very quiet, you could only hear church bells every hour from a church nearby, and the scenery of Tuscan hills lived up to the expectations. If you want to book this place definitely consider spending at least a day to relax. Hotel staff was great and welcoming and dinner was very good. I would definitely recommend eating here instead of eating in Panzano.

United KingdomThe internet could be spiffed up a bit + it would help if they also served dinner a la carte instead of a fixed menu, since the fixed menu (which is certainly good, though those that know italy also know that Tuscan food isnt at the same level as that of Emilia ROmagna :-) can be a bit too filling every day.
The breakfeast was very good - big spread. The only drawback for me was that the Orange Juice was not fresh. Fresh orange juice was served but at an extra cost, not that it mattered to me but given the overall polish of the place, I think fresh orange juice should have been thrown in.....

United KingdomOur bedroom was over the reception and surprising noisy from guests arriving back late at night. There was also no insulation between our room and the next door room and so when there were loud American tour groups staying we could hear every word late at night.
Beautiful hotel in great location. The staff were friendly and helpful and the owners charming. The grounds and pool perfect. Breakfast was good. We also lived the honesty bar.

CanadaWe travelled for the first time with our 5 month old, and from the beginning of our stay we felt like we were with family. The Count and Countess were nothing but amazingly sweet and hospitable with us. The Breakfast and Dinner served onsite were fantastic. The place is quite and extremely well kept, perfect for our new family. Thank you so much from Paula, Max and I, can't wait to come back and visit :)

United States of AmericaThis is an exceptional hotel - it’s beautiful and welcoming and everyone is very friendly. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with roses and herbs and olive trees. Everything- sheets, towels, even table linens - are top quality. Best of all is how immediately comfortable you will feel there - like you’re at a friend’s Villa. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at in all our travels.

United States of AmericaThe lady that checked us in when we arrived in the afternoon. She immediately wheezed why we didn’t book directly instead of using air bnb . She proceeded to ask us to off load out bags and bring them to the hotel and immediately move out car out of the way . Never mind we were still catching our breath after a long drive . Almost in a panic she mentioned we had to wait for her to allocate us a room since we had a lat minute booking . Which we said was ok and we would wait to while we have a drink . Though she immediately orders us to follow her and somehow she now has a room . A dark room … you can’t see anything . When I ask if this is the best room she had . She says yes and says there are no rooms with balconies in Tuscany . After a brief stroll around the property of course I see rooms with patios outside. I come back and ask again to which she now responds that she can change the room . We go to a room with abit of light. She asks us to move our bags hands us the key and leaves . Wow ! We had to walk long stairs to move our bags . We were to stay longer but decided to check out ..unfortunately met the owner later who was very pleasant and the morning staff . For a place so remote first impressions make or break an experience . Sad we had to leave without enjoying this beauty place
Le Barone is beautiful, if you’re lucky to bump into the owner , she is amazing , the staff in the morning were amazing .
