Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The owners were amazing, so so so helpful. We had a major travel issue and they helped guide us through it. They also know the area so well and made getting around easy.

GermanyWe had an amazing stay at Villa Patrizia. The location is amazing, we could see the sea from our room and were very close to the Vesuv. The room was very nice- it was cleaned every day and calm. The location of Villa Patrizia was perfect for us: There is a direct tram connecting the hotel to Napoli, but at night we could come back to the hotel and enjoy a calm, peaceful night. The breakfast gave us a good start to the day. But best of all was the host, Robbie. He gave amazing advices, he always took care of us and made sure everything is ok. Thanks to him we learned a lot about the region. We'd always come back.

Czech RepublicThe hosts were super! Roby advised us how to best get around. He will offer to give you a lift to the local station. The room was superb with a million dollar view to the Bay of Naples! Breakfast was very homy. We will return to Villa Patrizia.

GermanyUnfortunately, the sea view and quiet neighbourhood comes with the downside that it is quite a walk to the train Station. Especially walking back to the B&B the road is very steep and it takes about 30 minutes. Wouldn't recommend walking. There is a Car Park 50ct/hour) near the train Station.
Very nice host, gave a lot of information, very tasty & varied included breakfast, secure & included parking, nice sea view. Would recommend to book one of the rooms without kitchenett. They have even better Sea View and are beautifully furnished (but our room was nice too)

BelgiumAs it was the previous time, the only bad thing about Villa Patrizia is that you eventually have to leave.
Returning here after a few years, I was pleased to find that nothing has changed, and it still is sheer perfection. By far, the best place I have ever stayed, I can't wait to return a third time...

United KingdomReally struggle to answer this question as we did like pretty much everything. One thing I couldn't find in common kitchen was a proper knife - we got some bits and bobs from local market - but we also didn't ask for it.
First of all - staff. Roby contacted us the day before to see if everything would be etc. Location ... on the map, it seems a little bit remote, but to be honest, with the rented car we could go around everywhere - from Naples to Amalfi / Salerno etc.

BelgiumNothing comes to mind
We spent 5 days at Villa Patrizia and would certainly do it again. We liked the size of the room, the comfortable beds, the fridge, the view from the rooms, the efficient WiFI and air conditioning, the quiet neighbourhood, the breakfast buffet (with Patrizia’s excellent tortilla). And above all we enjoyed the exchanges with Roberto from the moment we booked until the moment we left. Roberto and Patrizia are the perfect hosts, always available for a chat and willing to help (transfer from the train station, taxi booking, restaurant or visit recommendations…). If you come by car there is a closed parking area with even a charger for electrical cars. We hesitated to rent a car for our stay and finally didn’t, the taxi driver arranged by Patrizia was reliable and cheap. Commuting to Pompei,Herculaneum or Napoli was easy, people are very friendly in that region.

Robert and Patrizia are the best hosts I met so far. The house is at the bottom of Vesuvio with beautiful view of the harbor. The local restaurants around is amazing, unlike those tourism places in city center.

A great place to stay. Very convenient to explore the Herculaneum and Pompei ruins and to climb Mt Vesuvio. Roberto is such a wonderful host. He took all the time to explain where to go and suggested some great places to eat. He asked if I had any dietary restrictions, and when he found out I was not eating gluten, he arranged for my breakfast: gluten-free bread toast, cereal and cookies. They have a private parking, and that is a great plus. The place has a nice view of the sea and is very beautiful and comfortable. I felt at home, and I found it difficult to leave. Thanks so much for the excellent hospitality. I will be back for sure.

United States of AmericaThis is only relevant if you drive a car. Free parking is very rare in this region of southern Italy.
Patrizia and Roberto live downstairs from the rented unit, and they were very friendly, helpful and acessible during our stay. The location is at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius, and on a slope overlooking the Bay of Naples. It is about 15 km south of Napoli, and adjacent to the town of Torre el Greco. It has a gated parking lot, keeping your car is a secured place. The location is very convenient for access to shopping in Ercolano and Torre del Greco. There is a nice restaurant within 1 km walking distance. For driving, the Autostrade ("A3") main north-south highway going south from Napoli is just 2 minutes away. It is about 45 minute drive to Salerno and the beginning of the Amalfi Coast. You can drive up Mt. Vesuvius free (if you don't plan to park up on the mountain). Patrizia and Roberto know the area very well, and were helpful to planning our day trips. The included breakfast was a chance to socialize with the other guests at Villa Patrizia and with our hosts. Roberto is fluent in 4 languages (Italian, English, French, Spanish). Patrizia is very conversational in English.

Czech RepublicIt was quite a walk to the town centre or shopping and then back up the hill. We recommend to go by car.
The accommodation was located in a residential area on a hill overlooking the sea. The room was nicely furnished, the bathroom was blue mosaic, there was a small balcony with a table and a view. Breakfast was rather continental. From the accommodation there is the possibility to take the train to Naples, we recommend to drive to the stop. Furthermore, Vesuvius, Pompeii or Ercolano are also easily accessible from the place. The receptionist was very nice, she advised us with everything. Covered parking was easily available in the courtyard of the accommodation.

ChinaVery spacious and characteristic villa. Our room has a simple kitchen and a balcony overlooking the sea. The host warmly introduced the surrounding information to us. It is very convenient to go to the volcano, the ancient city of Pambay and Capri Island from here, but it is recommended that you must drive, because walking will be inconvenient.

United States of AmericaNot much- it was a nice overnight stop.
We booked this for an overnight stay on our way back to end of our trip. Villa Patrizia B & B was a wonderful stop, wish we could've stayed more! The triple room, Ischia, was lovely. The bathroom was great, with great shower water pressure. The air conditioning was super, considering we were in the middle of a heat wave, much appreciated. The breakfast was awesome, with a variety of homemade pastries, potato frittata and hard boiled eggs and fruit, just to name a few. The top reason though, were the hosts, Roberto & Patrizia! They were knowledgeable and so helpful. I had a knee problem -Roberto brought my luggage up to the room. We enjoyed great conversation at breakfast. They really made it feel like we were in a home. To note, there are quite a few stairs to get up to the place, which was in the details, but I didn't read. Not a game changer because Roberto was so helpful. It was great to have enclosed private parking for free. The view was pretty cool. Since it was at the base of Vesuvius, it was a bit of an uphill climb, but we had a rental car, so it was not an issue. Lower down and you wouldn't have had a nice view of Capri and Ischia in the distance. Thank you Roberto & Patrizia for a wonderful stay!
