Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JordanWe had a rough time with the staff during our vacation. We booked our trip a while ago, and booking.com charged the full amount to our credit card. Right from the start, there were issues. The security person outside said we hadn't paid. We showed proof, but still had to wait. At the reception, it was the same story. They claimed we hadn't paid, despite showing our booking confirmation and bank statement. The manager couldn't fix it immediately, but we eventually got checked in. The next day, when we tried to leave, they said we still hadn't paid. We had to explain everything again. Even then, they said their system showed no payment. We had to call booking.com ourselves, using our international phone. The booking agent tried calling the hotel multiple times but couldn't get through. Eventually, we let the receptionist talk to the agent, and they realized the payment was already made; they just needed to check our booking number. One of the receptionists, Mr. Ad*l, didn't help at all. Despite this, he gave us his number, thinking it would help. But just having his number didn't solve the problem. We were really disappointed, especially since we always loved going to this place.

United Kingdomnothing. not a single thing I would have changed.
Gorgeous. A well equipped resort with everything you could need. Great restaurant choices. The pools were wonderful, the adult only pool especially, staff are attentive. The private beach is so ideal. The room was nice, clean and perfect for our stay. one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.

Czech RepublicI did not like the fact that the check-in person was selling us the room that we booked as something extra, when in fact it was not, mentioning that we get a room with a view at no extra cost, when in fact that was exactly what we paid for. They do that everywhere in Jordan, but I did not expect that at this hotel We also got a room with a leaking sink, it was visible that the issue was not recent and still they gave it to us, it got fixed after we called them about it Also, I did not like that we could not sign the restaurant bills on the room unless you have a deposit, while I understand the need in some countries, I would have liked to be able to do that without a deposit. At the checkout we seamed to be invisible for the person who was at the departure counter, he would walk around and check-out other people from the queue while we were right in front of the counter, we had to follow the guy and insist that we have to check-out and leave We were treated a lot nicer in smaller hotels across the country, so we had certain expectations already from Marriott and we got a bit disappointed
Comfy beds, the location and amenities. Great breakfast. It felt secure, a lot of checks at the entrance and many restrictions within the resort.

AustriaThey don't let you bring (prepared) food in from the outside. Once you're there you're probably not going to want to leave often because of the security protocols, so you'll probably succumb to buying food from the resort. This can add up quick, totaling more than you paid for the rooms if you're not careful.
The pools are great, even in winter (a bit cool/cold if the sun isn't shining, though). The facilities are awesome, e.g. free golf cart rides down to the Dead Sea. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The first thing they did when we got there was upgrade us to a larger room (it was low season). Then, when we encountered a minor inconvenience, they treated it as if it was a big deal and gave us the room until 4pm on our check-out day, which helped since that was our last day in Jordan and it aligned better with our flight times.

NetherlandsThe towels in the bathroom were hard. For a five-star hotel I would expect better!
I was there at a bad time. The conflict in Israel may have deterred some visitors. The hotel was less than half full and some of the facilities (e.g. the restaurants) were not open. It is unfair to judge the hotel on this, but I was back in the area ten days later and stayed at the Movenpick which met and even exceeded my expectations for a five-star hotel.

Qatar(1) Our booking request for two adjoining rooms was passed on but not fulfilled. Now, that can on occasion be inevitable, but in that case an apology and straightforward explanation would be expected. In this case, the check-in staff gave us the false excuse that they never received the information from booking-com about the two rooms being part of the same booking – whereas it is clear that the hotel always receives the exact same information that the customer receives. Honesty and perhaps a little gesture would have been appreciated. (2) There appears to be some slackness in service management especially around the pools: proactive checking of customer needs is absent – which seems something more the responsibiluty of management and training than of the generally friendly staff.
Stunning property, expansive grounds with lovely series of pools with wonderful views, easy access to the Dead Sea, where exceptionally helpful staff were on hadn (Manvir!). Great Italian restaurant and Champion's bar.
