Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceEverything was great! One point to keep in mind, the location is one station away from Shibuya, which usually requires to either take another train for one stop, or a bus, or walk for 20min. We were aware of this beforehand and it is still very convenient.
Beautiful hotel, modern and esthetic. Great shared shower and desks. Comfortable beds. Welcoming and helpful staff.

AustraliaNothing, it was great!
Honestly the best hotel we’ve found in Tokyo and we’ve been 16 times now. They’ve just renovated, so the room literally still smelt of fresh pine. They are very nice Japanese style rooms, with very comfy futons and tatami floors. The bathroom is a decently sized unit bathroom, perfectly serviceable and not too squishy compared to most in Tokyo. The staff are lovely and super helpful too. The location is excellent with heaps of good places for food and coffee within a 15min walk, plus very well connector to transport. It’s nice that’s it’s so well connectors, but also set back a bit from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya station.

AustraliaI would really like to have a bathroom (at least a toilet) in my own room.
It was a beautiful hotel. Quiet inside, besides being so close to a busy road. This road led directly to the Famous crossing. Very stylish fit out and a fabulous bath.

BelgiumWe LOVED it so much we wish we had been given a tiny tour to view the "Japanese bathroom," which is really like a mini spa for guests - we only used it once, sadly.
Phenomenally clean, even spacious in Tokyo. The bathroom was cute, and the tatami was lovely and fresh. Beds, traditionally on the floor, we're comfortable.

United KingdomThe only issue we had was with getting the hotel to book as a taxi to the train station. Thankfully we had left enough time for the delay however we only just made our train with less than five minutes to spare.
Clean, beautiful property with great facilities. Whilst the room we choose didn’t have a toilet/shower all facilities were great - nothing like most western hostels.

United StatesThere is a young male staff really helpful. He even helped me to call around ( because I don't speak Japanese well) to find out about the delivery service as the hotel doesn't provide one. I really appreciate his effort. The others staff are friendly too and greeted with a beautiful smile. The room we stayed in was good, spacious and clean.

Czech RepublicI would suggest to modify description of the rooms, it wasn't clear whether the room has a private bathroom or a shared. At the end it was a private, so everything was perfect.
Beautiful traditional interior with a modern vibe, friendly staff, perfect location, shared onsen in the facility

CroatiaGreat small hotel, we were in a traditional tatami Japanese room and it was such a nice experience. Location was great, one station from Shibuya station or by foot 15 minutes. Stuff was excellent, especially the older gentleman that explanied us everything step by step. Definitely would like to go there again.

New ZealandI suppose walking up the stairs to the third floor with my bag (no lift) but that wasn’t really a problem.
Small hotel, spotlessly clean, friendly staff. Budget friendly and great location to easily walk to cool parts of town.

NetherlandsReally nothing :-)
First i was a bit sceptical, very small room (only 9m2) and shared bathroom. But it was actually great. Our twin room just had 2 really comfy beds, AC, a fridge and space to put your luguage. In the hallway you find 2 toilets and 2 sinks. On the first floor there were 2 shared showers. Everything was clean and looks new. Staff was friendly, Its around 10-15min walk to Shibuya crossing, but you can also take a bus. Supermarket around the corner.

United StatesThe property is right outside of all the business but close enough to it that you can make this hotel your home base. The building has a very traditional feel to it and the rooms were great. There are shared toilets and showers, but some bigger rooms have their own private ones.
