Small thing … they provide a kettle etc but nothing to clean the cups out with between uses or a tray or something to dry them.

Great location although we did get a taxi to and from Kyoto station with our luggage. Easy to catch buses and trains to sightsee. Very comfortable and clean. Had a standard twin which was a good size (have found twin rooms generally better size than doubles). Close to convenience store and restaurants.

Great location and near stations and food places. Room was spacious and cleaned every day. Reception staff were wonderful and kind, offering umbrellas when it rained and greeting us in a friendly manner.

Staff are unable to communicate in English... Especially challenging at the front desk, except for one individual. The others cannot even comprehend what is being said, though it is evident from the body language that they are eager to help

Staff at lobby bar were friendly but service was very slow when it got busy (only 1 person attending the space). Also did not like that hotel guests had to pay a cover charge for the bar…

Cool hotel with good location - short walk to the train station. Staff were very helpful to send our luggage to Tokyo (filled out all the paper work for us). Didn’t have breakfast here but there is a Starbucks close so that is an option.

Wasn’t a huge fan of the breakfast but that’s a personal preference thing. There was a good variety of options.

The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. The room itself was perfect—size and quality. The location was perfect for walking to Nishiki Market or walking to any public transportation (we used both bus lines and subway and it was a breeze).

The room was clean and well equipped and very comfortable. It was made up every day. The breakfast was varied and tasty, with a mix of cuisines. The staff were very helpful and polite.

The entrance is a bit dark and damp and hard to find (caveat: it was raining).

The room was small and a little cramped but we managed to adjust and worked out a sleeping position which we all agreed on. The beds were a little small, but 3 beds was big enough for our family of four.

The beds were very comfortable and the provided spare toothbrushes and toothpaste and it was very convenient. The shower was nice and easy to use. The location was great as there was a 7/11 and a subway station in a five-hundred meter radius of the area.

This hotel was booked last minute as last resort when we could not extend our stay in ryokan as it was fully booked. But wow! We got a surprise and it was all worth it. We wanted to stay longer in Kyoto and this hotel not only provided us last minute accommodation but also was one of the highlights of Kyoto. The staff, the ambiance and the location were just the best. Could mot have asked for a better place. They even gave us a gift for our stay !!! How cool!!

Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms. We were two adults and two kids and stayed 4 nights in two adjacent rooms, which were a bit small, but it is Japan. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel because there is a great bakery/diner just downstairs.

The room is a bit small and has no closet. For two nights that is ok but becomes a problem when you stay longer. The breakfast is ok but the staff does not refill empty dishes quickly.

Pleasant hotel, decent room in a great location. After paying yen 3000 I received an early check-in at 12 in stead of 3pm
