Price for extra dinner is a bit high comparing to other hotel.

Food for breakfast/dinner were really good especially soft cream and drinks. Room is big and onsen is large but a bit crowded and not much private.

While the wine at Maple was delightful, the wine at the bar was atrocious. I would recommend getting a mixed drink instead. The staff did not seem to know anything about Bar Chat, they couldn't tell us when it was open until, and then when we walked over we were told at the door we needed a reservation, which the front desk should have told us at the start. They asked if we wanted the room reset on the first of our two days and we declined, but apparently that means they will put away the futon (which we did not want) and you have to re-set up the futon yourself. This should have been made clear to us; we would have preferred the room not be reset at all and the futons left out

Room was clean and comfortable, great onsen/rotenburo with a beautiful view, food and wine at Maple was fantastic

The room was a bit outdated, and unfortunately, the sunlight came in very early around 4 AM—no proper blackout curtains, which made it hard to sleep. For a place meant to help you rest, that was a real downside. We also found the all-you-can-eat dinner buffet (which must be booked in advance) to be extremely overpriced considering the quality. Breakfast was also quite average and not memorable.

The staff was warm and welcoming, even though they didn’t speak much English. Communication was possible thanks to Google Translate, and they made a real effort to help us. The room was very clean, and the hotel’s location is absolutely stunning, with an incredible view of Mount Bandai. A peaceful and scenic setting that invites relaxation.

Disappointed that I was told I would not be able to eat dinner despite paying for it!

I was disappointed that I booked a room with breakfast and dinner. When I arrived I was advised that there was no room in the restaurant for dinner. The hotel is not in walking distance to any restaurants and I didn't bring any food so I was quite startled at comment that 'i simply would not be able to eat tonight', and there was no refund for this either. This is a lovely hotel but depriving someone of a meal that had been paid for, in the buffet which surely could have accommodated one person, really isn't acceptable.

This is a great hotel with great facilities! I have stayed here before and would stay here again. Large rooms and a lovely onsen.

The hot water pot / dispenser in the room was not clean. The water was undrinkable as a result. I could see molts of dust floating on the surface. It would be far better to equip the room with an electric kettle so the guest can conveniently boil water by themselves whenever they wish to.

The view from the room, the buffet - plenty of variety, the onsen - especially the rotemburo, the amazing closet and the huge bathroom and bedroom.

Central temperature control. Cannot set preferred room temperature. Buffet dinner and breakfast has good spread but quality slightly below expectation.

Excellent location. Visited on 6-7 Nov. Autumn colours were brillant. Happy to get a room with great colours facing the lake. Onsen was good especially the outdoor pool facing the lake. Room was big and bed comfy.

Nothing, the entire experience was excellent.

All the meals were great, including the quality of the ingredients, the presentation, and the flavours. Standouts for me were the steak, the sashimi and tempura. Our students were equally amazed by the food.

Beautiful location! The resort has a “grand” feeling about it! The beds were very comfortable. The room had a lovely view of the lake. The staff were courteous and attentive. All you can eat dinner and breakfast with a LOT of variety. Coffee shop and gift shop available. Lovely inside and outside onsen baths.

The rooms need some upgrading but we’re still very comfortable. There was very limited gluten free food selection for celiacs. The buses to/from nekoma ski are were very limited and the Grandeco buses only ran on the weekends.

The location was beautiful, gorgeous outdoor onsen, they managed the buffet meals very well, always plenty of food and never felt too overcrowded.

The futons provided were wonderful but I would have liked a slightly heavier blanket. They were very light and I sometimes felt like I didn't have anything covering me at all.

The food was great and varied, the location was scenic and beautiful, the onsen was large, clean and the outdoor bath offered great views of the mountains and lake.

The dinner buffet is not worth it.

The hotel near the Goshikinuma, and we join the snow shoe walk there, it a great experience! Also the onsen (indoor/outdoor) is large, and I am very lucky that I am the only person in the outdoor onsen while it is snow outside.

Very hard beds and uncomfortable pillows. Slightly overpriced for what you get but you’re paying for the location. They charge an extra tax for the onsen regardless of if you use it or not.

The resort basically has everything you need at a very basic level, the food and drinks are really just OK. but I don't think this is a big issue as the price is very friendly, so it is fine.

    1. Best location in the area, the hotel is by the lake, right next to the trail to the famous colorful pond. very close to the entrance of the ski area and hiking road. 2. The room is huge and comfortable, the perfect place for a family trip. 3. The resort basically has everything you need. 4. The staff are very friendly and professional.
