Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaI thought it was overpriced. But I don’t really understand the cost of Tokyo hotels
It was close to where I needed to be. Compact but spotlessly clean.

Romaniaroom was a little too small
quite hotel and rooms, clean, amenities, helpful front office, great area, good price. A small traditional but nice and quiet breakfast room. Food was ok, a coffee shop at the entrance and a 5 min walk to a "7 Eleven"

United States of AmericaThe breakfast should have a take out option. The costs have much increased over prior reservations I have made in the last several years.
The location was convenient and easy to access the transit systems in Tokyo. The locker availability was a good way to accommodate early arrivals before check in time. The room facilities were good.

United States of AmericaThe room we stayed in was very compact. Not much space to layout your luggage. Bathroom was a little crammed. From what I understand most hotels in this area are similar. Wasn't a huge deal since we only there for 2 -3 nights, but anything longer I'd be wanting more space.
This place is slightly away from the insanity and that is Shinjuku. Very walkable and right next door to a 711 which are amazing in Japan. Check in was easy enough. We requested more towels and staff brought them up immediately, We also use the coin laundry there. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

MaltaThe breakfast guy seemed very annoyed that we were with a toddler and always wanted to put us separate from everyone!
It’s just 2 mins away from a metro station and just a 10 minute walk from centre Shinjuku Front desk staff are very helpful and do their best to accommodate you! Breakfast though not a big choice of food is really delicious Rooms are small but being a European, I’ve seen much smaller rooms in cities around Europe. We were a family of 3 and were ok! Rooms are very clean and beds are quite bigger than a normal 1 person bed

AustraliaI would avoid the Izakaya in the basement. Looked like it needed a really good clean although the St Marc's cafe on the ground floor was very good for breakfast & the hotel provided a good breakfast package
Excellent Location & very walk-able. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby down interesting alleys and side streets

SingaporeIn a quiet area of Shinjuku. Near the red line that connects with other places easily. Half and hour to Ginza. Clean, simple and adequate. I like the little sofa area to rest too. Near to 7-11 and family mart. Good beef restaurant just round the corner.

New ZealandWe got the airport limosuine bus to nearby Hilton and walked 5 mins to Nishitetsu Inn. It is clean, comfortable, and quiet at night. There's a McDs across the road, 7-11 on one side, and Family Mart on the other next to the subway station. Rooms cleaned every second day and fresh towels left daily. Coin laundry and vending machines, and they helped us ship our luggage to the next hotel. Cafe downstairs. Very happy to stay here.
