Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was no glass on the windows, only wood shutters so if you put AC you have to close them but then you stay in the dark. The tuktuks were expensive. The bathrooms walls were dirty (ants smashed on the wall?)
The room was good and clean with AC and WiFi. The location is great with many restaurants around. Friendly staff. Champasak is really quiet and I enjoyed staying there and visiting Vat Phou.

The guesthouse was far away from Champassack pier (40min walk), so had to book bus with tuktuk pickup at the hotel.
Room was clean and cozy, host spoke good English and offered motorbike rental there. Arrived at noon, room was still being cleaned and waited for about 15min.

Limited english (very limited Lao on my side) . Door had cracks where mosquotoes could enter (tp is a good solution to fill the crscks lol) . Mosquito net would be helpful .
Staff very helpful . Good wifi reception . Hot water . Ckean linen . Matress hard the way I like it . Lovely garden surrounding the rooms .

Location was good - close to the main walking street. Room was spacious and with a large bed. The great fan in the ceiling got the job done - it wasn't very hot in the room. There is a patio outside of the room to relax. For the room with a fan, towel is not provided. The owner helped with organizing transport.

When I arrived the family were eating dinner and just stared at me. Made we wonder if I was in the right place. Eventually I was shown a room - no name taken or anything. Strange.
Good for few hours sleep before Wat Phu. Good for the money

It is a very small village and not much to do. There is a public transportation to Pakse only once a day at 7am.

We come to check in, no one can be found We come back an hour later, still nobody The third time, a girl of 6 years old, called someone and then showed us a room, at last ! On the evening, we have to call a couple of times before someone shows up. We wanted to pay our bill. Surprise, he asked us to pay in USD which is strictly illegal in Lao, we asked pay in KIP, then it uses a rates 15% higher than the bank rate. So, it's just stealing money!

karaoke party
There are some very good things about this guesthouse which I would love to highlight, but customer service is not one of them. Incredibly, the family who own and operate this guesthouse thought it was a good idea to hold a surprise 7 hour, drunken karaoke party just a few metres from our door. After several requests to stop they did eventually move a short distance, but the torture continued. I’m not sure how often they host karaoke parties, but I do know that there are several better hotels and guesthouses in town.

Very well maintained place, nice big comfi room with ac, good bathroom. Has a nice terrasse and garden for breakfast or chill time. The owners are extremely kind and helpful: they helped us find a transport option to pakse and immediately came to our rescue when a rented scooter failed us. We can't thank them enough for their kindness. There is a nice river restaurant right in front for other meals thank breakfast.

They charged me 2x for local bus tix, scooter I had to rent was in awful condition like no lights, I paid for gas but tank was empty. overall these things made my stay stressful.
