The host and his wife are very kind, attentive and friendly. They welcomed us with a King Coconut as welcome drink, which was just perfect after a long bus ride. The room was very clean with a fresh smell of cinnamon. The location is close to the beach and bus stand for busses to Galle/Colombo. It's a quiet area, so you're not disturbed by traffic or long and loud parties. Definitely go for the breakfast!!! It was such an ample offer of food, every morning something different, typical Sri Lankan and lots of fruit (special fruit like guava, sour sop,...) Also they didn't ask for good recommendation, which is worth a good one in itself!! It really was a personal atmosphere there and we enjoyed our stay very much. :)

Amazing friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet (only 3 rooms in gated property) very very clean, aircon good, bed comfortable, all appliances and hot water worked well. Big kitchen with everything in it you can use at any time also. 10/10 would highly recommend this place if looking to stay in weligama :)

Sometimes WiFi was not working.

I love basiclly everything. Really cosy, spacious, brand new looking room, drinking water was provided, really nice view for the mango trees. Quiet area, close to the beach and nice restaurants. Own fridge and basic stuff like keattle, glasses and cups, tea, coffie:) also really nice shared kitchen

We stayed at surf lavender for 5 nights and absolutely loved it! The hosts Chaminda and Edna made us feel very welcome and were always ready and happy to help with whatever we needed! They are incredibly kind people :) The location is also great, close to shops and cafes and the main roads, but yet we were not disturbed by any noises. The room was just like in the pictures and equipped with everything we needed. A big plus for us was being able to use the water filter! We are definitely staying at surf lavender again next time we come to weligama!

It was perfect!!! Impeccable room and host! They met and escorted with coconut, even presented a local woven purse. I didn't want to leave And almost the only hotel out of 8 that I stayed in Sri Lanka where there is hot water

Good rooms with nice beds. The hosts were really friendly and it was all clean. They also head a water purifier so we could get clean water for free! Scooter rental was possible for a good rate and also laundry what we find was a bit more expensive then other places

I felt so comfortable while I was staying at Surf lavender.the place is very clam and not far from the beach as well as the weligama city.the hotel has been renovated very recently it seems and the rooms are very clean.alao the hotel arranges the tours to yala which was fantastic.the owner chaminda is very humble local.i defenetly come back.

Good location only a short way from the train station. A clean room with good AC, kettle, fridge and large comfy bed. Had the option to do laundry and rent moped’s all on site. The host was super lovely and helpful.

Really amazing hospitality. We were welcomed into the family with a king coconut by super friendly hosts. The room was very decent and clean with airconditioning. The day after the breakfast was incredible, the best we had in Sri Lanka and in such an enormous proportion, more than we could eat! After checking out we even received a small gift from the owners. Frequent long electricity shutdowns. But that's not the fault of hosts, the whole island was off. Also, if the table in the room was bigger, it would be more comfortable to work remotely

great stay and the owners extremely nice! delicious and very filling breakfasts and dinners (definitely more than you can eat). clean room with air conditioning. close to the beach where you can surf. close to the main street, however not noisy. offer scooter rental. they offer airport transfers. Highly recommend! :)

Everything was perfect. It is local family business and they did their best to make our stay exceptional. Breakfast was the best we had. It is impossible to eat all you get. We asked for western breakfast and we also got some local special additions to try. We tasted local fruits, which we even never saw before. We got as much drinking water as we needed. We also could make tea or coffee in the room. We also tasted traditional lunch. We rented very good scooter from owners and got so much information about Sri Lanka. It is very calm place with birds and squirrels around.
