Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Great location in city centre, delicious breakfast, free parking in the street. Also you can get kettle in the room, but you have to ask at the reception.

DenmarkI was expecting a kettle to make a hot drink, although it probably didn't have this facility listed available when booking and I just presumed the room would have one. The window overlooked the main road so was very noisy at certain times of the day mainly work morning rush hour.
Location was excellent, 5 minutes walk from train station Majori, bus stops and tourist information centre. Very close to restaurants and shops and also those on the main Jomas street. Walking distance to beach and forest park. TV in the room and good choice of channels.

EstoniaThe hotel is a bit close to the main road so it might be noisier if you get a room near the road. Maybe during a longer stay it might be disturbing but for 1-2 nights it's totally alright.
Very nice and polite personnel, a little bit "kinky" and interesting interior :) , absolutely dog-friendly, good location close to the centre, decent breakfast, comfortable bed

LatviaRoom was very small for us 3 (2 adults 1 kid). Room had bad smell because of WC. Some kind of problem with conditioner. Water of conditioner was all over the floor. We where lucky that we didn't left our computer our other expensive stuff under it ... We had to use all of room towels to clean up the water.
Room was clean, in good condition. Very good location. There is roof terrace, it was nice to use it at the evening.

Netherlands1. My room. My room was located next to the highway and busy railway track. The noise is absolutely impossible to bear. Trains, trucks, cars, people…I didn’t sleep for two nights. When I asked to change the room, I was suggested to pay 20€ for an upgraded version (appartement). Alternatively, you can close all windows are turn on the old air conditioner, but it won’t help with the noise:/ 2. Breakfast from 9:15 AM. I’ve never heard about the hotel with a breakfast from 9:15 AM. Standard breakfast hours worldwide are 6:30-10:30 AM, since when is the breakfast at 9:15!? If you’re someone who likes to wake up early, you won’t be able to eat before 9:00 :-( Facilities: No kettle, you can’t drink tea or coffee. I’m not talking about adding a bag of tea to the room, but just a simple 25 euro’s kettle can be helpful. Shower: Once I entered the shower I saw the weirdest picture I’ve ever seen: toilet paper is sitting on the 1m80 high towel warmer, and shower shell is installed also 1m85 above the ground. Question is: why!? Simply why!? How someone 170m tall is supposed to place their shampoo on it!? Also, what is in that grey iron box!? Is it shampoo or shower gel, or 5 in 1!? I won’t even stress about the fact that it’s broken, but can you at least tell me what is that yellow liquid inside!? A simple sign “shower gel” will help to identify what’s inside. 6. Lack of professionalism. Boutique hotels are differ to the regular hotel by their unique standards and service quality. I haven’t noticed/experienced anything that corresponds to the name, quite the opposite. Recommendation to the owners: when you establish the hotel next to the highway, it’s important to invest in soundproofing windows. It’s very important, since when people stay in a hotel they want to have peace and quiet, in order to relax/enjoy their stay. Sleep quality simply affects customer satisfaction.
Good location next to the center , relatively spacious rooms. Free parking space next to the museum. Good breakfast (pancakes)

GermanyI was upgraded from dubble room to an apartment, as I stayed a week, so I can't say anything about the original room, but... the living room part of the apartment was quite nice, the sleeping part was okay for one personen AFTER I turned the bed into a completely different position that made it possible to crawl inside. Otherwise you'd get claustrophobia due to the extremely narrow celing and the amount of curtains. I don't know how too people should have slept there without hitting their heads on the ceiling. Apart from that really noisy due to the train, that goes four times an hour. It literally skakes the whole building, making mirrors an porcelain shake. Tons of spiderweb at the ceiling. "Technical things" should be checked more often: - safe didn't work, until I found out the batteries were low -Air ventilation in the bathroom was broken at day two
Breakfast was tasty, people working there were friendly. Close to the Jormas iela (pedestrian street) where you find many restaurants, short way to the beach. If you plan to do train trips very short way to the station . I was upgraded from dubble room to an apartment, as I stayed a week, so I can't say anything about the original room, but I hope that the apartment was bigger than the original room.
