Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyI had a bit higher expectations from a 4 stars hotel. A smell in a room was not so good. Some guests were loud at night. A mattress was not so comfortable. A pool and a sauna were too full.
It was nice, good location, tasty and various breakfast.

United States of AmericaWe didn't like the strong air freshener smell in the hotel lobby. I have asthma, so I am sensitive to smells. My partner, on the other hand, experiences headaches from perfume. I don't see why the hotel lobby needs such an overpowering scent. My second complaint was that one of the two saunas was out of order or broken. There were ten people in the sauna, eight people in the hot tub, and six people in the pool. There are too many people in such a small area. Some people were hogging the hot tub for an hour, leaving the rest of us waiting our turn. It was too crowded, so we didn't have much fun.
I was allowed to check in an hour early, which was extremely helpful since I was exhausted from my long flight. I liked that the restaurant was open all day, rather than during certain hours like in many other hotels. I liked how there were two elevators available with very minimal wait time. The location in Oldtown is the best of the three Wellton hotels, as it is directly across from a shopping mall and has numerous nearby restaurants and bars. The breakfast that was included was excellent. The hotel restaurant fills up quickly in the evening, so reserve a table by the window beforehand. We went to the restaurant after 8:00 pm on a weekday, and the place was full. We had to dine elsewhere. The room has a minibar, but the drinks and snacks are expensive, such as 5 euros for a vodka mini, and 8 euros for a cognac mini, but there's a supermarket across the street where alcohol is sold until 10:00 pm. When it's time to relax, unfortunately, the TV is small, like 21-inch, and doesn't extend or swivel, so keep that in mind when deciding whether to upgrade to a better room with a sofa because here, you can only watch TV while in bed. Also, there are no international movie channels - only a dozen Latvian, Lithuanian, and Russian channels. I recommend taking the spa/pool option when booking, but one time is enough, as the spa gets crowded. Overall, we enjoyed our 2-night stay here and I would go with a basic economy room next time, as the upgrade was not worth it.

EstoniaOn my room there was a lamp that made a noise so that was a bit annoying. The walls are very thin so you can hear people talking on hallways and other rooms.
The location is very good, all shops and different kind of restaurants and bars are aroud. Also bus station is super near.

LithuaniaCleaners in spa zone were not polite. In spa only 1/2 saunas were working, so felt a bit crowded. Tv in the room didn't had any music options, nor Bluetooth neither mine USB was working. But in the inner yard there was a bar, in summer it must be crowded and loud. I would prefer listening to my own music:))
Great location, easy access to everything in old town. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast with champagne 🥂 easy check in process. Tv in room has some, but good chanells, especially to watch movies

BelgiumThe bottle of the soap was broken and kept on leaking. My room was not located near the street, however I heard a lot of noise during the night.
The property is located within the Old Town. Every basic need was covered during my stay. I received a free upgrade from single to double bed.

NorwayThe spa needs to be booked, and often more than 24 hours in advance due to limited space. The shower in the hotel room could also be better. Apart from that, there is nothing whatsoever to complain about.
The hotel has an excellent location in the city center. Walkable distance to many restaurants, as well as the Riga market. There are several malls, old buildings and parks nearby. The breakfast is excellent, and the beds are also very comfortable. The spa is also pretty decent, and a good way to relax in the evening.

United KingdomOur shower was difficult to operate. Cleaners used a very strange substance that made the room smell very strongly of lemons. Found the spa rules (you have to book in advance, and for 2 hour slots) a bit draconian too.
The location is great for the old town and also for bus/train stations. The room is comfortable, staff are generally polite and helpful and the breakfast is good too.
