Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalDifficult to find, but the staff arranges everything to make it easier. We had a taxi pick us up at the train station through the riad, which left us in a nearby square. At the square there was a member of the staff waiting for us to take us through de medina and to guide us to the riad. When we got there we were amazed by the riad and the view from the terrace

United States of AmericaThe riad and room were beautiful. What you have to walk through to get there HORRIBLE. Don’t trust google maps for the location, it gives u the wrong info, directions. For example Place Seffarine shows is 10 minutes waking one direction, and literally u walk 1 minute towards another direction and u are there.

United KingdomThis was such a wonderful hotel! When you come out of the little alley it's breathtaking inside! So tastefully finished with traditional and modern mixed. But what made it so memorable was the quality of service provided by Sufyan and the rest of the team. They went above and beyond on all levels, from meeting us to show us the way, having tea waiting, cooking us a special meal and being so helpful and friendly. Not intrusive, but the perfect amount of support. We're looking forward to seeing them all again!

United KingdomExcellent property. It's beautiful inside and the rooms are unique and comfortable. The managers Sufyan and Younus are both very helpful and friendly. They also helped with transport to and from the airport and arranging a last minute day tour for us. Would stay here again if/when I come back to Fes!

United States of AmericaThe street to enter the property is tricky and seems dangerous to a western eye. To be clear , riads of this stature are often off the beaten path. The manager met me at the taxi drop off and escorted me in the first time, going out of his way. Done once, it was easy to find again. Look high up for signage with Dar Logo.
stunning riad in the heart of the Medina. The staff could not have been more helpful and the meals they prepared were the highlight of my trip!

Germany- Due to the location you could smell the tanneries sometimes - the riad is very hard to find at first, but in general Fès is a city with a lot of very small and narrow streets, so you will get used to it :D
This is a hidden gem. The riad is exceptionally beautiful, the suite was spacious and comfortable with traditional decoration and art. The food was fantastic (one of the best we had during our Morocco trip) and the best of all was the rooftop with a breath-taking view over the Medina. Wow! We will come here again

CanadaThe location at the end of a long dead end alley. The plunge pool on the roof was not open (I’m still not sure if it’s a plunge pool or just a fountain) The guy at the reception speaks English but he doesn’t seem to understand it very well. He organized a guide to show us around one morning but somehow when the guide was confirmed the price went from 40 euros to 60. When we came back he told us that 60 was for a full day (we never asked for a full day, not even through the messages on booking). The guide was knowledgeable and knew the city well but when we gave him 60 euros he just took them and didn’t told us it was 40 (you don’t need to tip on top of the price) He showed us the street signs that indicate dead end alleys all around the medina.
It is hard to rate this riad because the whole experience was tainted by the fact that it is located at the end of a dead end alley of more than 200 meters. Lonely Planet mentions the 7 turns to reach it (it is well signed by the riad, look for the logo on each turn) but fails to mention you have to walk to a dead end (that gets narrower in the end) We stayed here a month after the earthquake and though Fes was not affected it was in our minds the fact that houses could crumble down on us along the alley, the only way out. We didn’t feel very safe going around and coming back to the riad at night. There was nothing suspicious on the way (apart from a man who was always hanging out half way) but the fact that once in the alley there was no escape made us feel vulnerable. We then enjoyed dinner in the riad both nights. The food was delicious, abundant and freshly cooked. The riad is nice and well maintained, the room was nice though lights were too dim. We had a good breakfast, served in the patio and on the roof terrace.

KuwaitThe bed sheets were stained so were the towels and when i told them about it they said its rust from the washing machine. Staff partied with guests till 1 am and when i complained about the noise i was told they were French friends of the owner. But they did stop being loud. Rooms were too dark. I asked for large double bed. Got two twins next to each other during sleep they would move which made it hard to sleep

MoroccoThis is part 2 of my review as it wasn't fully posted! Was confronted on 3 occasions day before departure if I could pay the balance in CASH Dirhams. The next morning I spent the day out in the medina! Was messaged 2 times through whattsapp about the cash payment. When arriving back i received a knock on the door once again asking if I could pay in cash! Before and after breakfast the last morning he once again BOTHERED ME about the cash! Upon leaving Sufoan asked again the same question. When I took out my wallet. he looked into it and asked directly how much cash that I had?? This was intrusive and rude! I became very angry and yelled at him and told him how I felt because his only concern at this point was MONEY!! At this point I decided to pay by card! Sufoan didn't offer us any help with a taxi. We asked for assistance and he told us to use the regular taxi! We had 4 cases and wanted a porter and their taxi service to help with our departure! His behavior was appalling and he became very antagonizing and condescending. Smirking and laughing at me. As if I had no RIGHT to speak up for myself. His energy from the night before and the final morning switched my opinion of the Riad! He also approached me and I told him to back away and stay out of my space. So disingenuous! What happened to the nice and welcoming man we met on day one!! Was fake. Just an ACT!
The women that worked in the Riad! Bed is comfortable. Hot water is plentiful.

United States of Americathe rooms are clean but very basic , NO TV , NO kettle , NO real toiletries ( a soap dispenser and 2 small shampoo in the shower)a bed and lamp with few decorations and obsolete wall plugs ( no charging ports )
breakfast is poor with no rich ingredients ( few olives, a scoop of jam, one bread divided in 4 pieces and they bring one small hot pancake each this is for 4 adults) amount for 4 adults is the same for 2 people and when asked for 2 more oz of milk for our coffee we were charged for it! it took us 10 min to explain and convince the staff that they are serving us less compared to next door table of 2! and they say " if you ask for more we would bring you " and at the same time they charged us for coffee milk ! they offered to remove the charges at the end but we have already paid for it with the 10 min of pointless argument. in the confirmation message they wrote" we will pick you up from the parking with a porter cart" but they don't say that you will have to pay that porter both ways ! the rooms are clean but very basic , NO TV , NO kettle , NO real toiletries ( a soap dispenser and 2 small shampoo in the shower) , the location is central but not easily accessible from the main streets, you have to cross through 7 narrow and dark allies ( hence the name) to get to it so at night it felt uncomfortable although we didnt feel unsafe. in summary, i think one have to be genuinely generous to run a hospitality business be it a restaurant or B&B ) poor value for the money we paid , re-affirmed my wife`s and my previous experience with this type of ( authentic accommodation ) to stick with predictable standard known accommodation
