Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

SlovakiaI need to say that this was one of the best accommodation I have ever had. And I already had been in hundreds of accommodations. Very cozy, comfortable tent with toilet and shower between the dunes is something amazing. All guys were really friendly and the food was excellent. I would give you 12 of 10 if possible. We really enjoyed our stay

FranceWhat a fantastic experience this was. Great tent, with all you need, good breakfast and a great dinner. We were so well welcomed with food and tea by Hassan. He was even kind enought to take us to the dunes to do sandboarding, take us some pictures and watch the sunset. Hassan was always available to help in any way. After dinner the guys play music and dance around a bonfire. The clean sky is perfect to see the stars. Also Mohammed, the guy who takes us to the camp and brought us back was awesome. We only have good things to say about this experience. 5 stars!!

ItalyUnfortunately they told us that they had to recently move all the camps on the edge of the main dunes area in a "flatter" desert area. Each camp has its own privacy but walking around and hearing drums at night you realise there are many camps around, some trees increase the privacy between camps but also decrease visibility of the dunes. In general it is still a very nice experience to sleep in a tent here in the desert but don't expect full isolation or to be in the middle of the dunes. To have a proper feeling of being in the middle of dunes you need to walk a few minutes (and there is amazing). It's a camp in the desert so not a problem or a con for us but still worth to mention that electricity and wi fi sometimes can go down and of course don't expect high download speed.
Hassan, in charge of managing the service and the daily life in the camp is super nice and a very good host. He makes the experience perfect and makes the guest feel taken care of. He is also a good entertainer at night, playing and teaching drums, answering all the questions about berber life and desert and showing also interest in guests' cultures. In general the staff is very nice. The food was also good and exceeded expectations. Walking few minutes you can be in the middle of dunes having an amazing view of a real desert, in a hour you can be close to over 100m dunes The room was very pretty and welcoming, as well as clean, with all the expected comforts. In general, the whole camp was pretty and well designed, with pretty sitting areas and carpets, and a very nice table on top of small dune where they suggested us to have a lovely breakfast.

Czech RepublicNothing serious, we loved our stay and we will surely come back.
We loved our stay at Berber Camp. All of the staff was really nice and they made sure, that we enjoyed our trip. As backpackers we arrived to Hassilabied by grand taxi and from there Hasan took us by car to the begining of the camel trek. The trek went along the big dunes to the camp. We had a break in the middle of this trek to watch the sunset and also to try little of sandboarding. Then we continued our trek to the camp. When we arrived there, we were a little surprised that our camp was hidden behind another camp so that we did not have direct view on the sand dunes, but at the end it did not really matter. After arrival to the camp, it was already quite dark and shortly after the dinner has started. Then music and dancing and finally well deserved sleep. The sleep itself was really comfortable and probably the best sleep we had in Morocco. In the morning we had really delicous breakfast and then we went back on the camels. So here are few random recommendations that came to my mind: Be prepared that day charge 200 DH extra per person for the camel trek, but this is a common rate around Meezouga and I don't think you could get it cheaper anywhere else. It's ok to go to Sahara in August even when there is like 42°C outside. It's not as bad as you would imagine. Beacuse of the low humidity it feels like way less. On the other hand you will probably get better price because there aren't many tourists in Sahara during summer. Also the experience of the camp is gonna be much more pleasant in a smaller group. Be prepared that the guy leading the camels will make a small teleshoping like break to show you some small stone figures that you can buy from him to support Berber craftmanship. From what we have seen all camel guides did this, it's ok to refuse them, but I personally consider polite to tip these guys, because they are super cool.

United States of AmericaHasan, our host at Berber camp met with us at our meeting point where we were able to refresh before starting our camel ride to the camp. Our camel ride was great. We also tried sand-boarding during the break on the sand dunes. Once we reached the camp, we were offered refreshments including tea, water, fresh orange juice, cookies, etc. Thereafter we were directed to our rooms. Dinner was ready in about 20-25 minutes of our arrival. Dinner was delicious. After dinner, the staff at the camp played some traditional Berber music which was very pleasing. They also let us try our hands on their musical instruments. In the morning we woke up for sunrise and after watching the sun rise over the desert, we were served our breakfast. The bathrooms in our tents were very functional and better than what we expected. All in all we had a very nice glamping experience in the Sahara desert.

United Arab EmiratesIt was amazing experience 😍 First time in my life I was staying in this type of hotel- camp . It is such a great idea. We arrived around 7 it was sunset time. i this if you are staying 1 night in desert it’s perfect time to arrive- you will see sunset and the sunrise next morning. The camp was so beautiful and well arranged, all this carpets and lanterns around , it looks so mysterious, so magic I felt like in fairytale. We had a dinner set menu, and next say - breakfast . It was included also. It was beginning of June so weather was perfect. Thank you all the staff who made our staying memorable and specially thank you to Hassan . He met us, took us to the camp by his car, we had great safari adventure on the way to camp and back . He is very welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend!🙌

United KingdomThere were several issues. 1) I requested vegan food at the camp prior to the booking which was confirmed by the owner. However, our first night the food was not vegan. So, I could not eat it and instead had to pick around it. I get that mistakes happen and people forget things, but even so, there should have been more communication there. 2) The portion size at the camp and the amount of the food was ridiculous. The amount of food wasted was quite shocking. 3) The owner wanted to charge me and my wife €50 each one way to go back to the village. So, if we wanted to go to the village and return to the camp the same day it would cost us €200. Which is just utterly ridiculous and a disgusting way to treat customers. This is obviously to stop people from going to the town and getting tours outside rather than going through the hotel and paying their higher price. Apparently, they are only able to pick you up and return you to the village once each way. So bare that in mind. For me and my wife we wanted to do some shopping and buy a bus ticket in the village, which is about 20-30 mins from the camp. However, because we would have had to pay extortionate prices to go and come back we were unable to do so and instead had to stay at their 'hotel' in the village in order to go back to the village on our 2nd day. The hotel itself is under renovation and quite basic. Doors were off, the place was full of fumes from varnish and paint and despite this we still had to pay the full price for the 2 nights at the camp. I feel a cheaper price for the 2nd night would have been a nice gesture from the owner as the hotel is clearly significantly cheaper to run and we were left without much choice. The facilties at the hotel aren't great either (dodgy door locks, dodgy shower with no latch to hang from, etc). 4) The tours were priced rather high. €60 each for a 2 hour 4x4 ride is ridiculous.
The camp itself was nice, with good facilities, large bed, decent bathroom and friendly staff who were quite accommodating. When we arrived to the village they put us in a room in their hotel (Camel House) to rest which was much appreciated. Staff also gave us free lunch which was unexpected but again appreciated.
