Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNoise can be a slight issue but better if you don't stay on the ground floor, and don't visit during Ramadan with the very early morning praying. I was OK though as had my ear plugs! and the bed was very comfy so I slept very well.
Riad was very clean, all the staff worked very hard, the two young chaps were especially helpful to ensure they provided you with all your needs - they are a credit to the owner. Good location, good sized rooms, great roof top with a plunge pool, all very well looked after. The bed was extremely comfy. Highly recommended Riad to give you an authentic feel in the Medina.

United KingdomThe water was extremely hot so you had to be very careful when turning on the hot taps. Sometimes it was a little noisy in the evening when the water was turned on.
The owners are very welcoming and will do anything to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Lovely, relaxing vibes in the riad. Amazing plants and decorations. Great location and is within walking distance to everything that you need.

BelgiumEverything was amazing. The only minor detail is that you can hear some noise from outside and from the mosque. So bring earplugs if you're a difficult sleeper. But over all no negative points.
The hosts were so friendly. We arrived late in the evening and immediately got tea and cake. Everything was super clean, the room was beautiful and authentic. I loved the breakfast and the little pool on the roof. The location was perfect. We loved our stay!

United KingdomIt isn’t always clear if the drinks and wine advertised are available - e.g. mojito is on the menu but when I asked they said they didn’t have it. We were visiting during Ramadan so this might be why!
The riad is down a quiet and easily found street and the staff are so helpful (will walk you to the road from your transfer) and very willing to answer any questions you have. They also serve an amazing and generous breakfast, everything is homemade including the yoghurt! The bedroom was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a comfortable bed with a large shower. The roof terraces are amazing and the pool is bigger than expected!

IrelandThe lock on the door is just a small padlock, fine for one night but if I was staying longer it wouldn't have felt very secure.
Location, quietly friendly and very helpful staff, comfy bed, decor, tea, breakfast, rooftop pool, rooftop cats, and the guy running the place personally walking me out to make sure I got safely to the correct driver when heading back to the airport at 3:30am.

United KingdomSometimes water pressure not great/took a while to heat up but not a major issue. It would have been good to have a small bin in the room for any rubbish.
One of the best stays we have ever had! The location is fantastic, within walking distance to all sites. The hospitality of the hosts truly exceptional. Welcomed with a mint tea and some cake. Lovely. Rooms cleaned everyday. Breakfast is amazing too. Filled us up for the day.

United KingdomThe riad is beautiful and only 5/10 minutes from the souks. We looked forward to breakfast every morning as it was delicious (some homemade pancakes, yoghurt, omelette, etc.). The staff was also great and were always willing to help and make us feel comfortable. Before travelling, I let them know that the trip was for my partner’s birthday, and they kindly prepared some flowers and a card. Overall an amazing experience!

BulgariaThe only thing I somehow didn’t like was that somehow the room was little too humid. But I tried other riads and it is the same there as well.
It is a nice one, well located in the medina, not far from the bus station where you will arrive at, if you come from the airport - around 10mins walking. Rooms is good size, bed was comfy. The host was great, very kind, always there for us!

CanadaThe breakfast was comparably uninteresting that I was left still hungry. This second opinion is in general for ALL riads in the medina: riads in the medina are pretty intimidating to locate, especially at night, so make sure you ask the riad to please meet you at the nearest car park. If you try to locate it on your own the first time, you will very likely (like 99.9% lol) get extorted.
The reception on arrival was warm and welcoming. The layout of the riad and room is very nice and neat. The light rooftop lining helped regulate the temperature so it was not cold inside compared to the actual weather outside (in November). Also, it's not far from the car park so not too much walking to get a taxi. I think riads are wonderful, intimate and most enjoyable for small bubbly groups, something I'll plan towards in the future.

PortugalThe only thing which could have been better was the water pressure in the rooms, which was quite low, but it might have been due to the recent earthquake, and might be fixed by now...
Great location, very quiet yet central. 2 minute walk to nice Medina streets, 2 minute walk to main road where you can catch a bus or taxi. 2 minute walk to mini market ideal for buying water and snacks. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and professional. Breakfast was very good. We had dinner at the riad once which was also very nice. The whole Riad was clean and well kept.

United KingdomThe bed is very firm which is great for some but might be tricky for those who prefer a softer bed. Also the riad is very close to a mosque so be warned that the call to prayer is loud but I think that would be the case anywhere!
The Riad is beautifully decorated, has friendly staff with an amazing breakfast. The rooms were spotless and the facilities at the Riad were great.
