We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThe door to the balcony was broken and did not close, had to use a chair to stop it from opening. Very uncomfortable pillows/beds, my back still hurts. Stink from the bathroom sink. Loud neighbours so even white noise did not help. If you want to wash your clothes - it is 7 euro per load and they do it for you.
The room had most of the necessary things - beds, closet, mini-kitchen, mini-fridge, clothes horse, etc. The owners are nice and did the registration for me.

North MacedoniaThe experience can only be described as horendous, uneventful and filled with fear amongst our friends. On multiple occasions, we were threatened that we would be kicked out of the property over minor inconveniences. One of the reasons was that we were talking in the yard in front of our room and on another occasion for singing a song in our language. On both occasions we were following the rules put on about the time (we were doing this during the day). Along with the trauma that we experienced, the bathroom in one of our rooms was faulty and the water from the shower spilled on the floor and we had no way of cleaning it since there were no supplies displayed. Another thing that we observed was that multiple apartments shared one heating boiler to the point that there were 7 of us using one small boiler and only two of us could take a proper shower with hot water. Most of us came back home sick because we were showering everyday with ice cold water. The sanitation in the toilet was disgusting and had a really bad smell that was present in the whole apartment. The sofa bed in one of the rooms had a big hole in the middle and was really dirty. The other beds had old mattresses with stains that were smelly. The promises given on booking.com were never kept, such as toilet paper in the bathrooms, towels and cleaning supplies.
