This was our third time staying at Palazzo Consiglia and it was as fabulous as always. The staff are so warm and welcoming and the hotel is just beautiful. We love relaxing by the pool. The complementary fresh fruit kebabs are a wonderful addition. Breakfast it super too. Already booked again for our wedding anniversary next year. Thank you to all the hotel team, you are wonderful.

Perfect for us. Wonderful welcome from Tony, which set the pattern for our stay. Everyone did their utmost to combine 5 star service with a friendly feel. The facilities were exceptional for a small hotel. The pool was such a bonus in the hot weather. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented. If you preferred a Continental, then the variety was extensive. Nothing was too much trouble - travel advice and recommendations and always prompt attention to queries. We stayed in the beautiful 'Ecologica' which had a shower. Some reviews have mentioned that there was only a curtain across the room masking the bathroom area. What they have not said is that both the shower and toilet area are enclosed by glass screens behind the curtain. Very private and thus not a problem. Despite only having a window looking into the inner courtyard, this was mitigated by a lot of natural light. Peaceful location near to everything! Would recommend Palazzo Consiglia wholeheartedly.

The only thing we were not so keen on was the enormous bathroom area which was open to the room. The loo just had a glass door, which didn’t give any privacy! There is a lack of natural light, due to the style of the building.

Location couldn’t have been better in the centre of Valletta, close to restaurants and sites of interest, yet on a quiet street. The staff were exceptionally helpful and room service and breakfast couldn’t have been better. The building itself is very old, but beautifully converted. The basement spa made clever use of the underground space.

The pool was closed during our stay for maintenance. We had booked the spa for an hour, and it was double booked.

Great location, 2 minutes walk from main streets but very peaceful! Best bed ever, we slept so well! All the staff were helpful and friendly. Room had loads of character. Roof pool and spa both great! Breakfast had excellent quality and variety.

Our room (excellent condition) wasn’t really suitable for people our age. The stairway lights inside the room were not very bright resulting in me taking quite a tumble.

Overall, the room could have been better. Don't get me wrong: It has everything and it is clean, but... It's not worth €270 a night. It's medium size, not a single coat hanger, a part inside the wardrobe, not a chair. The room lacks of natural light, in my opinion. We didn't know we would have get a bath instead of a shower (I think the client should have been asked to give a preference, at least). The same bath did not work and flooded the whole bathroom and room. But this is not a big deal, issues can happen and the staff helped out. I think that the room isn't worth the money. Pretty average, compare to the rest of the hotel.

Great service, very polite professional and helpful staff. All of them, from the i chance to enjoy the facilities after the checkout, which is definitely a big plus! The limited number of guests allowed you to enjoy the place and the quiet environment. To be repeated! The place is to be recommended,in my opinion.

A lovely traditional Maltese palazzo in the heart of Valletta old town. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff are amazing. Lovely breakfast cooked to order as well as a continental buffet. If returning to Malta I would definitely stay here.

The staff is truly wonderful and professional, and they all make a great effort to provide the best possible service. The breakfast is abundant and diverse. The hotel is in a beautiful old historic building, which adds charm but also some drawbacks. Most rooms have very little light, and the windows mostly face the interior. The bed and pillow are very comfortable, but the bathroom could use some improvements, as our room only had a bathtub, and water constantly leaked onto the bathroom floor. Although very nice, the room lacked a desk and there was no kettle.

Absolutely beautiful small boutique hotel ran by fabulous staff in a central location of Valletta. I simply can’t rate this hotel high enough. My sons and I loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Feel bad writing this as the hotel and service from the staff was amazing but the only thing I'd change would be the shower over the bath as you had to hold it whilst showering. Also no door on the bathroom, just a glass panel and curtain. Wouldn't stop me staying at the hotel again and would still give 10 stars!

From start to finish this hotel exceeded our expectations by far. The staff were all so lovely and friendly, couldn't ask for better service. Location is perfect for exploring Valletta which is a lovely city. Spa was great as could book exclusively for yourselves for an hour each day. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again.
