The bedroom was very small but the bed and bamboo bedding were very comfortable. Not enough room for a chair for example. The wine in the restaurant was too expensive.

Excellent breakfast. Attentive staff.. really comfortable bed. Comfortable loungers some with shade if needed. Very quiet location looking out across Grand Baie.

We have stayed at numerous Relais & Chateau hotels and they never disappoint. The staff, the food and wine, the intimate setting and the character of the rooms all contribute to an outstanding hotel. The genuine interest and attention to the guests and their needs from the staff is impressive. Live entertainment provided at 2 of our dinners was excellent.

The room being small wasn't a huge issue at all however, the shower itself was tiny - this didn't match up to a 5* standard of hotel unfortunately. There also wasn't a huge amount of facilities, the gym is small and equipment such as weights isn't extensive.

The food was the absolute selling point of the hotel, beautiful quality and choice at every mealtime. The views are incredible and we love a smaller hotel so this ticked that box. Our housemaid Rani was wonderful, so friendly..as was Denis, one of the waiters/bar men who always had a smile on his face! Our room was very quiet & always cleaned well.

It is outside of the main town, but there is a free water taxi to take you back and forth throughout the day. They can also arrange taxis and a variety of excursions.

It is really hard to find a fault. The staff was attentive and helpful, the location on the bay is gorgeous and the food and drinks are exceptional, making the half board option more than worth it. My room was right on the beach and the view from the balcony is hard to beat! I couldn’t have been happier with my stay here and I look forward to coming back in the future!

Slightly overpriced. Although we had half board, there supplements on many dishes and the alcohol had a huge mark up. Fir that reason, the wine was very expensive.
