We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

South AfricaI don't know if Flic en Flac was the right area for us. It is very quiet with not a lot to do and no real tourist facilities. Think Grand Baie would have been better.
SeaVilla was much better than we expected for the price. The furniture is basic but the room is very spacious and they have nice pool loungers by the pool, which is use. Convenient location just across the road from the beach.

United Kingdomthe Wi-Fi does not really work, it keeps jumping and it’s really unstable. impossible to work. the room cleaning is not included. we also asked for a late checkout 3 times and they confirmed it until the last day in which they told us that it was not possible. they found a solution, we stayed in a out of order room, but that was not that great honestly.

NetherlandsCovid19 has had a major impact on the entire tourism industry worldwide, and in Mauritius. So after no customers for 18 months we understand why some maintenance perhaps was postponed. We were understanding as to this situation and respected the efforts of Sea Villa to correct any shortcomings.
Professional and friendly staff, all requests were met with a professional respons. Right by the beach of Flic en Flac, free parking in front, close to restaurants.
