Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MexicoThe only negative side is that it is missing AC in the bedroom.

Lovely vibe, I really enjoyed chilling in the hammock at the end of the day. Room was very spacious and the shower pressure was great. The whole hotel feels like you’re walking through the jungle, really enjoyed being in nature. Staff were amazing and accommodating.

United States of AmericaLack of fresh water. The containers holding the fresh water throughout the resort were almost always empty. They also charged us at the bar for more expensive tequila than what we drank, but I caught it and they corrected it. Check your bills. Our room never had hot water for a shower.. but it was so hot we didn’t mind! The cool showers were refreshing.
The beach was BEAUTIFUL! The breakfast options were amazing, and actually all the food we had there was amazing. We felt super safe and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating!

Hungary- some stains on the bed sheets and curtains - since it's an eco-hotel, there's no AC in the room (which is not a problem at all as you have a fan above the bed). however if you want to leave the windows open for the night expect some mosquitos as there are basically no mosquito nets installed - only one electric socket in the whole room - be prepared and bring an extension cord with you - WiFi reception was quite weak - beach bar prices are quite steep (even compered to other local bars)
Cute bungallows, we stayed in a superior ocean front room located right at the shore of the Caribbean Sea. Amazing and clean beach with occassional live music acts. The hotel has a beach club so everybody is welcome here. We really enjoyed our private cabbanas as hotel guests don't need to pay extra for the usage. Wonderful breakfast options (one of them is vegetarian), you could enjoy it right under the palm trees. Overall experience was quite good.

Netherlandsbreakfast is more or less the same daily except for fruits and juice, with 3 options, with one for vegans. The bees are a bit annoying when having breakfast, but well that is the price for staying in such a nice "garden" and having your breakfast outside. Taxis - forgot about those -, you see lots of taxis doing nothing, as they are ridiculously expensive, but colectivo's (little vans to the city) work well.
Very beautiful, a bit of glamping. Beautiful beach, and a nice bar for having a drink while peacefully overlooking the sea, best Michelada in Tulum.. The bar has live music and closes at 22:00 ish so when sleeping early, no noise. The central Ceiba Tree is awesome, the plants around the accommodation make it very peaceful. Access to nearby cenote.

United KingdomIt was pretty warm in the room. My partner struggled with no air con. There was water to dip your shoes in before you entered the hut but was easy to get lots of sand in the room. You can't put Toilet roll down the toilet which gets a bit gross after a while. We did have a cockroach in our bathroom when we arrived to. I'm not usually one to complain. We can camp. Love wildlife and love beach. Bit for the price we were paying didn't think it felt luxury enough for that figure. Was a bit overpriced I think.was upset to know the massages we could have on the beach wouldn't be so private as they set you up right next to thr bathroom area. Again for the price we were paying we hoped to have a private area on the beach listening to the waves for our massages. Instead we had in a private room away from the beach so it wasn't really what we hoped for even thought the massage itself was good.
We loved the location. If you want a beach experience, this part of the beach was quiet. Had lovely beach beds you could use when staying. We were welcomed with a lovely cocktail on arrival. The beach was really nice here and it was easy access to other beach clubs on Tulums beach strip and you could hire bikes. Our beach hut has a lovely hammock out front we enjoyed lying in. Had very nice relaxing massages.

GreeceThere was no aircondition that was a bit annoying in the beggining. Then we got used to it since there was a fan in the room and helped.
The room was a hut and was wonderfull/ It was situated into the nature that made our holidays very relaxing. Very quiet. We could not see or hear any of the other residents. The breakfast was very delicious and the beach was beautiful. The sea was a bit wavy but the water warm and a delight to stare.. They had toiletries and beach towels ready for us to use and we could also use the sunbeds without any extra charge. There was also parking available.

United KingdomThe restaurant and bar operate separately which lead to the bizarre situation that we had to get cash out at night outside of the property to pay the bar but 5m next to it we paid by card in the restaurant. The drinks are overpriced (to be fair that’s most places in Tulum imho) however at breakfast I asked for a bottle of water and was dumbfounded when a bill came for 160 pesos which is more than 7 pounds. For a bottle of still water. Plus tip! Though again I think that’s not unique for the area. My biggest concern is that it’s a beachfront location so inevitably there is damp. But a damp smell lingered in the room and in particular in the bathroom. I think it might be wooden fixtures that retained moisture. I only experienced this in Mexico in a hotel in Cozumel where it came out of the air con. But it was immediate when we entered the room and it didn’t subside. It reached a point where I’d have to reconsider staying here again because of it - and I think there might be things that can be done to mitigate the smell (or mask it). Even having some incense might help. But there was just no escaping it.
Beachfront location amazing. Beautiful surroundings. Enjoyed breakfast (lovely vegan option!). It’s an eco hotel so there is no air con but that was no issue at all because the fans worked brilliantly. Water is salty but again no issue - can confirm it didn’t dry out my hair ;) There is no phone reception in the area and they have a little library in the reception area and in the room which is a lovely touch and really lends itself to total relaxation.

We stayed 1 night for the beach access. The reception was very helpful. In general the place was clean, well maintained and as pictured. The bed was comfortable and the room had plenty of space. The beach access was amazing especially the live music. The breakfast was great with an ocean view. Would definitely stay again.
