Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MexicoNo WiFi in the rooms and many areas of the hotel. Also, even the hotel is all inclusive, having a mini bar or fridge in the room would be great.
The friendliness and kindness from the staff. Everyone was happy to assist you, to help you, to just try to make you have a good time there. Great attention! Even we didn't use all the facilities, the hotel services and facilities we used were great, specially when you have family with little kids.

United StatesThe rooms were outdated. The elevators are very small. The seafood lunch restaurant was disappointing.
The staff was friendly and the three pools, all with a swim up bar and two by the ocean were great! The food was decent and the drinks were tasty.

CanadaThe deposit process is ridiculous. Staff either don’t answer the phone or when they do don’t speak English. They rarely answer emails, when they did they promised to send banking information that never arrived. I arrived without making a deposit wondering if I still had a room two years in a row. My daughter and family had their room cancelled the day before they were to arrive and I had to scramble to make sure they still had a room. In this day and age not having wi-fi throughout the hotel and it all rooms is not good enough.
Great location and cleaning, restaurant and bar staff.

CanadaDuring check in there was a lot of confusion. The cordless terminal was not working well and bringing my card as being “blocked”. That alarmed me tremendously and it caused me to call my bank in Canada to inquire. There was not such a thing. It was the hotel terminal For an inexplicable reason we were moved to a room with the exact same characteristics 2 floors up The only thing that changed was that one of us ( I ) left for 17 nights to a different city. That was made clear upon checking in. I made several reservations through Booking. As it is all inclusive for 17 nights it was for one person only which is less money of course. The day of my flight I was hit with the news of moving to a different room. I was very upset. But we moved to AN EXACT SAME ROOM 2 FLOORS UP. I received 2 different explanations from 2 different people from the staff. My observation is that a New York flight was cancelled and this hotel was where those passengers spent the extra time in PV. I find that the variety of food is not there I thought first time we were in 2021 that it was a very small buffet. This time seems even less food We noticed the hotel had very little attendance. It is a large hotel BUT definitely very few guests. You can tell during meal times. Quite unusual for Puerto Vallarta. All other hotels are booming at this time of the year. I had a feeling of emptiness… A feeling it could closed down for good any time. I found another place to stay. A private deal and I am more satisfied.
Very good location. Very clean air I like the buildings in general I like the fact it has a main food area, 2 a la carta restaurants and a snack bar. I like that it has 3 bars I like the main area for food right in front of a canal where boats travel I like the lobby.

CanadaFood was not good at all. Ended up having to eat out Most days. I was charged extra at check in which was unexpected. It’s basically a hidden tax charge which was more than the one on my booking confirmation.
Very nice staff. Super friendly. Room was lovely. Cleaned everyday. Cocktails were amazing. Pool and private beach were beautiful.

CanadaThe room was dated, the bathroom was very dated and the tiles in the shower had mold and missing grout. Also our bathroom sink was plugged and they did come and unplug but there was still debris in the drain. When I booked the room, I asked for a king bed, when we checked in and went to our room, it was 2 double beds. We left immediately and went back to the front desk to ask for a room with a king bed. We were told by one of the desk staff that they would change is to another room, upon which one of the other front desk staff said no, even though there were rooms available. Overall the staff was not friendly, we spoke to other Canadian guests and they also felt the same way. The food was not satisfactory. We went to the Italian restaurant one night for dinner, upon arriving we were stopped at the door. My husband was dressed in dress shorts, a short sleeved shirt and sandals. They told him he had to go and change as shorts and sandals for men were not accepted in the restaurant. We went back to the room and changed into long pants and closed toed shoes. While having dinner, other non Canadian guests came in, male guests were wearing jeans, shorts and sandals and were not turned back. Watching this, were we happy no. There wifi was extremely slow. The value proposition for this hotel is pathetic.
The location, having pools by the marina and also by the beach was a nice variety.

CanadaMy friend and I had the pleasure of staying at Vamar Vallarta Marina & Beach Resort for a week, and we truly never wanted to leave! From the moment we checked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, friendly, and helpful—every step of the way. The resort itself is massive, with two pools—one right by the beach with easy access and a snack bar open for lunch. The beautiful ocean-view restaurant offers an à la carte menu every evening, and you can enjoy your meal while watching the breathtaking sunsets. The resort’s all-inclusive package provided a wide variety of food at the buffet, which changed daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring we always had something new and exciting to try. In the evenings, there was always something fun going on, like live concerts and themed dinners (barbecue on the beach, Mexican night, and more). During the day, there were lots of activities to enjoy as well—salsa dance lessons by the beach, interactive poolside games, and even kayaking! Overall, our experience was unforgettable, and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Highly recommend Vamar Vallarta Marina & Beach Resort!
