Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe table in our room was missing a leg and propped up poorly, the fridge opened into the galley kitchen so you had to squeeze in a small gap to have access, and the bed and couch were not very comfortable.
It was nice that there was a pool, gym, and pool table. The elevator was great, though it wasn't working a few times. The security staff was nice.

United StatesI would like to suggest the listing managers to split the different rooms they have into different listings. I was assigned with the apartment on the floor level and the big windows were next to a common area NOT on another floor like in some pictures. Lastly, the bathroom had mold on the walls and inside the shower: https://photos.app.goo.gl/uaJdXqMDqjpS4VobA
The checkout was delayed from 3 PM to close to 4PM because they were still cleaning the apartment.

United StatesThe bathroom was also the utility room and it was very moldy and not very clean, also the tiles by the front door had lifted up so the front door only opened halfway, the balcony doors lock was broken, so was never able to lock it, and of the two fans in the room only one worked, light bulbs needed replacing by the kitchen, so meant it was very dark to make tea and coffee.
The staff at the location were all very friendly and polite. The building was well-maintained. The fitness center pool table and all social areas were very clean.

NetherlandsTwo big (151-180)double beds were promised but one bed was only 140, not comfortable for two adults. Quite a hazzle to check in, because somebody has to come down -in busy cdmex this can take time- to let you into the appartment. The security man at the door can 't help. The furniture on the terrace was too dirty to sit on. Just plates glasses etc for 3 people.. can't leave luggage at checking out ( we had a late flight back) though there is a possibility a few blocks away.
good location in quiet neighbourhood. spacious appatment but not the 150 m2 promised (unless you add the terrace). easy whatsapp contact. facilities (swimmingpool, we didn't use)

NetherlandsIt’s located in an appartement building. There’s a guard at the door, made us feel safe but also a little bit stand-offish. The amenities like pool and gym are nice, but not many people use them. Overall it’s a nicely maintained building but not very welcoming/ not a place to meet fellow travelers.
The appartement is nicely decorated, with small details such as a Mexican Spotify playlist QR-code. The check-in lady was kind, questions via the app were answered quickly.

United StatesThe window facing out is a main thoroughfare. this is not a hotel, it is a selection of rooms rented out to post on Airbnb. as such they give you an adolescent badge that you’re supposed to keep with you indicating you’re an Airbnb. this is also the exact reason I was using booking.com to look for hotels so was frustrated that it was an apartment building. this is also the exact reason I dislike the churn and burn aspect of Airbnb with minimal appointments to make your stay comfortable. example, a transformer blew and my apartment went completely pitch black. there was no flashlight or anyway to make light. no bath mat. it looked like a utility closet with buckets and rags sitting on a utilitarian shelf system. the apartment did look modern and had a nice rooftop, but when you’re expecting service and facilities of a hotel and get a rigid check in process where you have to be escorted to your room like a child. also signing that absolutely no guests allowed felt ridiculous.
water pressure bed was comfortable key code lock location was good.

United StatesVery noisy property, day and night. Loud barking dogs all hours of the day and night. From the room perspective, shower head was broken and not functioning correctly. The bed was very squeaky and noisy. I assume it was an old bed and mattress. I was disappointed I was told I could not have registered guests even though the property rules said I could. I wasn't sure what the real rule was concerning that.
Location is probably the only good thing about the property.

SwitzerlandI was given only 2 big towels. That just wasn’t enough for me as I have a long hair and the hand towel was entirely missing. I was staying alone, for two people that would be even more difficult
Very nicely located with a lot if restaurants and shops around, yet really quiet place

GermanyBEWARE, THIEFS!!! After our stay here I forgot my phone on the kitchen counter, which I noticed when already at the airport. I contacted the owners to let them know and ask, if they could find anything. After not answering for almost 24 hours with the reasoning that they need to wait for the staff the next day, the owners told me that nothing was found and I should look somewhere else. We even took a picture before leaving, where we can see the phone charging. The owners handled everything extremely indifferent and irresponsibly, not supporting at all, and my phone is gone. I can only recommend to anyone to stay away from this place!

United StatesNo air conditioning in the unit! It was very hot and uncomfortable throughout the day. The host provided 2 tower fans, but one was broken. It took over an hour for a maintenance person to come over and verify that it was indeed broken and get us a replacement. So we had to change some of our plans in order to wait for him. Also, all of our communication with the host, Kukun Properties, was via Whatsapp texts. We tried calling the phone number provided to speak with an actual human but received a text message saying there was no one we could speak with. Our only option was to text them. That was very weird.

South AfricaSO LOUD!!! This room is right next to the main entrance to a lot of apartments, and you can hear people coming in and out with their bags and it’s so loud! Struggled sleeping for the 2 nights we booked, and noise usually doesn’t affect me! bring ear plugs!

BrazilIt is important to note that Alure and Kukun are different things. Alure is a residential building with many seasonal rental units. The building is charming, and the rooms are spacious, with plenty of light and well-equipped. But it's run down, with some furniture falling apart, terrible pillows, and a general lack of maintenance. And important: the front desk and employees do not respond to guest requests, all contact must be made directly with Kukun. Well, Kukun is the company that manages the short-term rental of the units and the problem is that Alure and Kukun have a lot of difficulty talking, leaving the guests in uncomfortable and awkward situations. For example: before arriving we received an email from Kukun with instructions for accessing the apartment, lock code, etc. We had to send copies of passports, etc., everything needed for check-in. But upon arriving at Alure, none of that mattered, we had to wait more than an hour in the lobby for a Kukun employee to arrive! In another situation, we request the use of the building's parking for 1 night. "Yes, of course, no problem" replied Kukun. Guess what happened when we arrived in the car? In short, a bunch of hospitality amateurs causing serious problems for guests and a feeling of abandonment.
The Building is charming, the rooms are big and full of light

CanadaThere are a lot of dogs in the building and neighbourhood. My only caution is to expect lots of barking throughout the day.
