Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JamaicaThe location needs some working on; the road to get there is so bad but other than that, our stay was great. We had a small hiccup one night where there was no one to let us in after being told that there will be someone at the gate in the late night. We had to knock and shout for about 10 minutes before we could get a response. It was quite terrifying but it’s forgiven. Also, the dinner menu is not so great but the breakfast menu was top tier.
The property was super clean and smelt amazing. Staff was really sweet and polite and the whole aesthetic and feel of the property was just breathtaking.

IrelandIsolated location with bad roads as the area is being built up. Not the most comfortable place as a woman as it didn't feel overly secure and got a lot of cat calling from local construction workers (not that this is the hotels fault at all but noting for the women out there). No nearby shops, you'll need to rent a bike or car to get anywhere. We used a company that dropped them off (GreenBikes) and picked them up which was great. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned after our first 2 days, it wasn't cleaned automatically. Also, bring mosquito repellent!
Beautiful place in jungle surroundings. AMAZING staff who were so helpful and attentive. They really did help in any way they could, and helped us with bike rentals, taxis, and anything else we needed. The chef was amazing and always went the extra mile. Our best meals were at the hotel. Room is very big and private. Very cosy after a day of exploring Tulum. Hotel is only a 20 min cycle from the beautiful Jaguar Park and Playa Paraiso which is really amazing.

United StatesThe access road is in terrible condition. We had a 4 wheel drive vehicle and were grateful. There was a lot of rain during our stay, leaving large deep water-filled puddles and potholes everywhere. In Tulum, getting to the beach is difficult, as most beach access is blocked by private resorts. We used the beach by the Mayan ruins for a parking and entrance fee. We visited a cenote and that was worthwhile. Throughout the apartment, the lighting was too dim.
We stayed for 4 nights. Every staff member knew and addressed us by name throughout our stay, even the night watchman. The apartment was spacious, clean and appealing. The pictures do the place justice. The value for the price was exceptional. We had a maintenance issue one night and within a few minutes two maintenance men and their wives responded and solved the problem. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was inexpensive, but the menu was small. The food was good. The plunge pool, shower and outdoor shower were all great.

SwitzerlandWe really like the friendlyness of all employees which we were in contact. Also the room is absolutely amazing. But what we liked most was the jungle feeling in the whole resort, you feel if the hotel was build around the trees. They also have a really nice restaurant, with some really affordable food. But it can sometimes be a bit to fancy. Also keep in mind, that the hotel is in the middle of the jungle. Its advised to rent a scooter.

FranceA water dispenser available to guests as a basic amenity many Yucatan places provide would be nice. Basic amenities like salt and pepper in kitchen area would be nice too. closest grocery store is at 2' by car and 10' by bike. Sensitive sleepers: My accommodation, which I loved, had 2 pool water pumps on both walls. One got kindly turned off at night, the other one, belonging to the adjacent villa' pool, unfortunately resonated on the opposite wall. A timer could maybe fix this? Spacious fridge in room is quite noisy. Had to unplug it over night. Sad to mention that within this amazing staff setting, the front office person stands out lacking service personality and solution oriented mindset. He managed to make me feel uncomfortable when mentioning a few issues, even though he tried to slightly turn it around after receiving heads up. The little positive efforts I could have shared about this staff member were unfortunately cancelled by his unprofessional attitude which went on until check-out. Side note: Most of the bumpy road, with the biggest pot holes, can be avoided by taking the road parallel to it!
Impressed by the human and service quality provided by management and staff, competing with 5* hotels. Exceptional staff with genuine personalities, dedicated to go above and beyond to make you feel at home through authentic care, love and attention. Special shout out to Nata, Chef Mane and their team (incl. Housekeeping) Delicious fine food combined with outstanding service, level the on-site restaurant up to high standards as one can experience the chef's Michelin background. Juan Carlos has provided exceptional costumer service and went out of his way to make me feel taken care of and appreciated during my 1 week stay. Sincere thank you to all of the team for their efforts. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Private pools are well maintained, bird sounds throughout the day and night, beautiful place built in conjunction with nature. 🌴 Great Mattress, well working AC, topped by Starlink wifi. Very spacious private villas. Hot tub area on roof deck is nice with the view on jungle trees: did not make use of it as pool water was warm enough for a night dip. With new services coming up such as a sweat lodge, outside lounge bar, sound and light effects, a massage therapy area in the middle of the jungle accessible through a bridge (Thank you Mariposa for the sound healing massage), this place is a must go to place for anyone seeking to reconnect with nature and recharge batteries, away from Tulum's exhausting and ever present noise. This is a magical place, being shaped into a diamond. 💎

United StatesThe road is bumped for about 10 minutes. It is better to have a good big car. If you search a location easy to move, that’s not the right place to stay. We always managed to get out for the whole day, once, to avoid the drive on this road. The next days, Juan Carlos left and we had to face other employees: - our toilette was clogged at 21h (and flash didn’t work either) so we couldn’t use our restroom and it’s a long and uncomfortable way to drive outside from this area. Same time electricity and water were cut (in the whole town). No WiFi then and it’s a no-network area. The employee said there is nothing to do, he’s in the same situation which I understand and he’s not a WC technician. (Come on he’s employee but we paid for the facility, at least the restroom is part of minimal necessity, especially when you stay at a « private » villa). There’s nothing to do and he pursued smoking his cigarette. We had to argue with the employee to make him understand that the restroom has to be repaired since we can’t go to the toilet and can’t wait the technician next day. Finally, after 40 minutes someone came with the suction cup - When we did our check-out, the same employee accused us of an outstanding bill. We had 2 breakfast and paid directly the same mornings. He had only one payment. He was starring at us and waiting our payment with no action to understand how could that be already paid and no-registered. He was always mentioning he’s not responsible for anything. We had to call the breakfast personal that had to come. He didn’t remember our payment (we paid him by cash in his direct hands). After a while and argues, he said « OK » which means they accept the fact that we paid but we really did. So after another while, he assumed the money was in the kitchen. Note that the water pression is low and water was constantly cut during our stay (we could barely go to restroom)
The property is well designed. The privacy between the villas. Our villa had a jacuzzi and a swimming pool. The co-owner Juan Carlos welcomed us warmly and was even kind to bring the dinner since we arrived late. Check in was amazing and to discover the villa when you arrive is wonderful. Maya shower outside is an amazing experience as well

Czech RepublicBe prepared for a bumpy ride as the approach road to the property is unfinished, with some rather severe potholes. Despite this, we managed multiple trips without any issues. Since the site is still under development, parking is plentiful and free, which is a relief in the bustling area of Tulum beach.
Kuun Taak Tulum offers a delightful retreat with its charming villas that exactly match their promotional photos. We spent five nights here and found the setting utterly tranquil, although we didn’t make use of the rooftop jacuzzi or the swimming pool, both of which are available to guests. The property has recently been taken over, and while some areas need improvement, the exceptional, personalized service provided by Juan Carlos significantly enhances the guest experience. His commitment to guest satisfaction is commendable. A definite highlight of staying at Kuun Taak Tulum is the dining experience! Whether you are there for a night or more, breakfast and dinner are not to be missed. Chef Mane is a true culinary artist, offering dishes that rank among the best we've had in Mexico!

United StatesWe couldn’t get our jacuzzi to operate properly and getting help to figure it out didn’t really happen . Although we weren’t really bothered by it , we had hoped to be able to utilize it at night as it gets a little chilly at night for the pool .
It was a great value. Private pool , private jacuzzi , full kitchen & enough space to move around . It was also in a great location . Located in between downtown Tulum & the beach .

United KingdomThe location is pretty isolated (30mins walk to nearest shop). The road to the hotel is very poor but this is not just isolated to the hotel many roads in the area are quite poor. Transportation is essential either hire car, bike/scooter rental or expensive taxis (some of the most expensive I've experienced on holiday). The room itself was great but more could be done to make the outside areas and pool more comfortable for lounging and not all rooms have sun. The hotel itself was very quiet which would be perfect for someone looking for a complete escape but it lacked atmosphere. We barely saw any other guests whilst staying there for 10 days but most seem to just use the self catering facilities. The menu in the restaurant could do with an update to appeal to a wider audience.
The staff were incredible and Louisa and Eric were great throughout our stay, helpful and friendly and happy to help with any queries. The room was very large and comfortable and had self catering facilities to use. The steak night that was put on was a highlight.

Everything. The facilities invite you to disconnect and relax, spending quality time with yourself and enjoying the hotel. The staff was great, staff always with a smile and looking for ways to make your stay better. The food and drinks were of the best I’ve tried. And the hotel managers, Luisa and Juan, went out of their way to ensure we had a great time with our 2 year old. Above and beyond expectations. The spa and the private pool and jacuzzi at the room were the cherry on top of an incredible experience.
