The hotel was very peaceful and was surrounded by plants. There was a communal kitchen and a lot of seating outside and by the pool. There was also a nice swinging bed outside, but it was out of commission for the last 2 days we were there. It was clean and the pools were great.

That I couldn't stay forever

Absolutly amazing place. It is simple but so beautiful. Our room had everything we needed and it was very clean (cleaned every day). Location is just perfect - a minute walk to the ocean, very close to many cafes, restaurants and shops. The staff was helpful and attentive. They offer services like laundry.

One employee, I believe his name is Toni. We (my sister and I) had an issue, one evening, with the internet connection. He was not helpful at all. But he made a scene by showing us, on his phone, that he has no issues with the internet. He treated us very poorly in front of other people, including two guests who had just arrived.

Exceptional, beautiful place, quiet and clean, with everything you need, including a kitchen. Walking distance to a mercado and restaurants, and bars. There is a wonderful swimming pool and a few areas to chill with blooming flowers. You can hear the ocean from every corner of this place. You can get a good relaxation massage under palms or in your room. Profesional, friendly, and helpful staff except one man.

Fan is good but it was still super hot. Mosquito net would be great.

Location near the beach and just a couple of minutes to some good restaurants. Pool. Staff is super great!!

Nice clean room and bathroom, a few steps away from the beach (great for surfers, to dangerous for swimmers, but just walk to the right to the end of the beach, there it is safe to swim and they rent umbrellas and sunbeds there) Just a 5 min walk to the restaurants. An outdoor well equipped kitchen and enough space in the fridge and the kitchen cupboard for your food. The pool is nice and clean. Always some books in all languages to borrow or in exchange. We also liked the little garden a lot. Staff was very kind and helpful! Beer and soft drinks are available at the reception, but no food or breakfast.

The pool, the beautiful, quiet place to hang out by the pool / garden. There was a kitchen and fridge as well. Beach was super close. The place offered tours as well, for a good price you would find somewhere else as well.

No many places at the beach in front of the hotel which is good if you are looking for some quiet. A scooter or cap is required to take you to busier places

I understand that it's not the "philosophy" of the place but AC should be added to the rooms. Be really carefull with mosquitos.

Nice place! Lot of outside spots around the pool to rest, read etc... You can see the sunset just outside the property.

I found the pool quite dirty sometimes, it had a lot of bugs. It could have been cleaned more often. Wi-Fi to the rooms was basically non-existant but it worked well in the common areas. Be aware there is no safe in the rooms. There are also no bedside lamps.

Beautiful place to stay in Zicatela. The garden/outdoor area around the pool is really nice, there are nice chairs and shade to chill out in as well as an outdoor shower. Liked that there was a kitchen and fridge to store your own food/drinks as well as small bar where you can purchase beers and soft drinks at a reasonable price. It is a relatively small place so it was never too crowded while I was there, definitely seemed more of a chilled place than a party place. Staff were always around and they were very helpful and assisted us with laundry, taxi and even a driver to Oaxaca which was great. Rooms were nice and daily cleaning was really good. Sure the A/C would have been nice but the 2 fans provided were pretty good. Location wise it is a quiet area but a short walk to shops/bars/restaurants in Zicatela. We also enjoyed the local market which is a short walk a way. You can surf at the beach out the front if you are experienced, it is not ideal for beginners, keep in mind if you want to swim in calm waters and don't like big waves, this is not the best part of the beach as the waves can be quite crazy at the shore. La Punta is better for calmer water - it was about a 30 min walk. We took the free bikes which was quicker but the bikes aren't in the best condition.

Needs to clean the pool a bit more often. There are a lot of insects 🥲 and the bad was small for 2 people, because there is no AC

The water in the pool was a little warm at moments, but totally acceptable taking into consideration the environmental impact of a more regular change of water.

Playita offers a great area to chill. It is super close to the beach and close enough to bars and restaurants, but at the same time far enough to have a good night sleep.
