The breakfast which was included in our stay was not very good, most of the items were cold and flies buzzing around which they can’t help as it is an open plan setting

Wonderful location, on the beach, easy walk to town centre, lovely and quiet. Very comfortable bed, bathroom had walk-in shower, rain and hand-held showers, magnifying shaving mirror. Good WiFi, good AC. Breakfast was delicious.

The only negative point is the fact that there is seaweed on the beach in front of the hotel, but this is in fact in front of all the hotels. Just walk a little way to the beautiful Punta Mosquito beach and you're in paradise.

The hotel and villas are magnificent, beautifully decorated and clean. Perfect for relaxing in peace and quiet, the pool is sunny and the bar in the water is great for a cocktail. The staff are very friendly and the buffet meals are delicious. I totally recommend it.

I’ve stayed at this property 5 times…nothing bad I can point out.

Breakfast every morning, followed by relaxing at one of the 2 pools, or just short walk to the beach. The staff is always accommodating and friendly.

All the paths around the hotel are sandy so all steps leading up to the rooms become sandy and can get into the rooms a little as it’s on your shoes even though there are water bowls for your feet.

Breakfast buffet was good. Dinner was adequate.

Constructive Criticism: We do not like that the bathrooms do not have AC. It can be very hot and humid as this is a year round summer climate environment. We did not like that the hotel did not advise us at booking or at least before arriving that the main pool was closed due to a water shortage issue that had been occurring for weeks. We would have booked the suite with the private pool as those were working. The beach is nice but there is nothing like jumping into a pool on a hot day; which was very hot that weekend and my husband that does not like to be in the sand was looking forward to it after a 5hr Flight/Airport experience, a 2.5 hrs drive, a 30 min ferry and another 30-40mins renting the Golf cart to walk into the lobby to be told that theres no pool...with no compensation not even a comp food or beverage. We did not like that they are like Towel Nazis. They failed to give us the towel cards at check in and then when we got them and went to get the towels they were rough and worn out looking. This hotel is catering to higher end guest and should be all inclusive instead of piece by piece style.

This our second time visiting the island and chose this hotel again because of the location. It is away from busy main st area but not too far so that you can walk to it or like we do rented a golf cart to get around the island. There are no cars allowed on the dirt roads. This hotel is really beautiful. they have a great buffet area and wonderful rooftop sushi restaurant as well as a private beach club area with service. The rooms are very clean. We booked an upstairs unit for the view from the hammock on the balcony but next time getting the downstairs with the private pool. They also offer room service. It is family friendly but mostly everyone goes to relax onsite and party in the many great restaurants and lively bars on the main st areas.

some of the staff not really friendly. no coffee machine in the room, room was a little filthy, mirror didn’t get cleaned for 5 days (inacceptable considering the price!). we were lucky to have a good room, others are located near the diesel agregate, which is incredibly loud almost every day (Night) since they have severe electricity problems on the Island.

very overpriced on rental equipment you should put a few tables and chairs in the area by the massage tables for people to sit at in the evening.

Although the bedrooms felt clean, there were stains on the sheets and I got glass in my foot in our room.

Staff at pool area seemed bothered by towel request or any request with exception to Vicente he was so accommodating. This is our second time staying at HM Palapas (1st time HM Paraiso transferred us over due to COVID restrictions) and the staff at HM Palapas are not as friendly as at HM Paraiso.

Room was impeccable. Great Location to beach. Overall resort is beautiful. Our room was spacious and perfect for our needs.

front desk staff was not as nice as we expected when we did the check in. However, they were nicer when we did the check out and paid the bill. The toilets in the restaurant were quite dirty.

We booked thru booking .com and they said a beach view but was not so. We also asked for 3 adults and it read like one king s d one double but the description was not accurate, so we ended up paying for another room with a king bed. Not as luxurious for the price

Best place to stay in holbox if you want a bit more luxury! It was a very nice establishment with a great garden and 2 main pools. Right at the beach (with beach towels provided) and also in a walking distance of the town center. Would definitely come back when going to holbox!
