Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicThere are mosquitoes. But their rooms are equipped with mosquito netting, bug spray, and other repellents so we didn’t have any of these little critters in the room. The Wi-Fi is a bit patchy and some of the rooms.
The accommodations are quite unique because you will be staying in a hut that was based on how local Malaysians lived in the huts decades and perhaps centuries ago. But of course with the modern facilities of a nice shower, air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi. The staff is great and always helpful. And the restaurant has very delicious food. The swimming pool is quite refreshing after a day of touring in the hot and humid conditions. The hotel is only about 10 minutes away from the airport and a grab taxi is at most five minutes away to pick you up and take you to any other destination on the island.

The ambience and views were magical. All the staff were extremely friendly. It was amazing to see the art studio’s and galleries. I personally loved the fact that there were resident cats and that Bon Ton is a rescue for both Cats and Dogs, however I’m sure that wouldn’t be for everyone b it for me I loved it. The restaurant food was Fabulous.

New ZealandBon Ton was described to us as ‘dreamy’ and it definitely lived up to it. We had two villas and both were beautiful. Rustic but very stylish and nicely finished. The vibe there is great, with the staff very obliging and warm and welcoming. The restaurant had amazing food. We loved our few days there and would definitely go back if we returned to Langkawi.

They allowed my dog to stay with us, there was a lot of space for him to walk and it was nearby the beach so we could go there often.

United KingdomLocation was affected by sight of the next door area being reclaimed/developed, but it was not a major problem and the staff alerted us to this beforehand. It's also quite close to the airport - but again we weren't really bothered, there was no major noise (partly because there aren't that many flights in and out of the airport).
Fascinating relocated old Malay wooden villas - these are the main draw of the resort, great fun to stay in them. Nice food for dinner at the restaurant. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

ItalyI was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. Just bread, jam & butter, fruit and one piece of cake. + coffee/tea, all do it yourself. Having such a nice restaurant I think it would be better to serve breakfast there. Or, if it is going to be in the room at least two sets of butter and jam would be appreciated. It is all sweet, it would have been nice to have a bit of cheese or eggs. Specially because of the price one pays for the night I think it is expected.
It is a beautiful place, I arrived just in time to watch the sunset and they offered me a welcome drink which was great and I enjoyed the wonderful views and the company of some sweet little cats. Afterwards I went to the room which was a typical wooden house, super spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. Has everything you need. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Located just a short ride from the airport. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Langkawi.

United KingdomI had to leave after two nights
The villas are traditional Malay houses that are 100 years old and fastidiously relocated to Bon Ton. They are 100% NOT your ‘Normal’ hotel room. They are so much better! Super clean and comfy and plenty of space. Unfortunately they’ve started building a golf courses next door so the views aren’t as great, but it was all far enough away that it was peaceful. Stayed there on a Sunday and Monday night so got to enjoy the live band/singer on Sunday night (they do it every Sunday). SO GOOD! They had a great band in who play all over Malaysia while I had dinner with friends. Food was excellent. Cocktails even better. Service fantastic!

AustraliaThe drive into Bonton was a bit of a shock with Disney characters lining the drive the stuffed animal toys cheapened the main common area/restaurant & the construction site in full view from this area also wasn't what I was expecting so as we enjoyed our stay after the initial misgivings we settled into our villa & relaxed just not described correctly by bookings.com
Loved the friendly staff & the quaint villa pool was relaxing food were good

GermanyClose to airport (noise from planes). One can walk to Pantai Cenang but it is too far to do this every day. Grab etc. is recommended. Or just rent a car and explore the island on your own.
Great resort with beautiful traditional Malay houses. Friendly staff. Great breakfast (in contrast to some other guests we liked it that the breakfast was brought on the evening before and stored in the fridge).

Great resort with all facilities and great staff. It is a nicely quiet place while in less than 10 minutes you are at the beach (or about 30 minutes walking distance). The pool is great, our children (1.5 and 4) loved to hangout at the pool all day. There is also a possibility to arrange a crib which was very convenient for us. We very much enjoyed our 1 week stay and would definitely recommend it to other families with young children.
