Restaurant booked up in the evening, though it's not a big problem. Bathroom probably doesn't need two showers, but definitely needs shelves for toiletries and hooks to hang clothes.

Location, easy check-in, cleanliness, comfortable beds.

The room was a bit noisy as we could hear the people in the neighbouring room. But otherwise it was great. We ordered the breakfast in bed, which was nice and on time, but the eggs where cold and we could have used more pastries or something sweet :)

We loved the location and the room. Everything was super nice. Parking was perfect, the distance to the National park and other cafes and lunch spots was great. With all of this close by and it still being quiet was super.

Really no major complaint, but since the hotel is labeled as a 'breakfast hotel' and it cost 17.5 euro, we were expecting something more special.

The staff was nice and friendly. The room was nice and clean. We liked it because it was close to Veluwe Park. The breakfast buffet was good with decent choices and we enjoyed the coffee.

Everything was just great - except for the rainy day where we could not be out and about but the hotel manager let us in earlier than the regular check in time. So we're very thankful!

Hotel manager was very friendly and accommodating. He let us in the room even before check in time which was great because it started to rain and we could not go out walking while waiting to check in. He also let us leave our bags by the front desk the next day while we went to the Kroller Muller museum and he let us sit around at the front of the hotel while waiting for our pick up. Our breakfast was good too! All very good experience with this very friendly and very clean hotel!

The breakfast is a little overpriced, but not outrageously so. We wish they still served dinner, but we'd rather have them be open without dinner service than see them close. We'll be back!

We've stayed at the Kruller several times before and like it a lot. Very helpful staff, very comfortable room, very good breakfast, perfect location for visiting the Hoge Veluwe National Park.

We were slightly bemused by the fact that the hotel was closed during the late afternoon and evening, when staff had gone home. We had to enter by a rear door that led only to the bedrooms. I guess that related to the number of guests staying - only two or three while we were there. The breakfast was expensive but excellent on the first day. On the second day there was no cooked breakfast - not a problem for us, but not such good value for money as a result.

The staff were excellent and went beyond the call of duty. An office worker made us ginger tea, though she didn't realise the hotel provided it and we had to tell her where the ginger had been kept earlier in the day.

Too bad that the terrace outside wasn't out even if no dinner is served. By nice weather it is nice just to sit there. Mattress could use a turning over.

Breakfast was good. People were kind. Parking is easy and a supermarket and dinner places within walking distance.

Maybe a little pricy, however it is extremely well located.

Perfect location for visiting the Veluwe National Park and the Kruller Moeller museum. The hotel is in the centre of Otterlo, however it is very quiet. It's 1 km from the entrance of the park, next to a supermarket, bike rental and restaurants. There is free parking with charging for electric vehicles and bike stands. The rooms are cozy, have names of famous painters and decorated accordingly, all refurbished and new, also large and comfortable bathrooms. Other reviews complain about the steep staircase, however it is no more no less steep than stairs you find in most Dutch houses! The breakfast is also very good, with crunchy bread, croissant jams, etc. Last but not least, the owner is very nice and welcoming.

The staff of the restaurant. The food in the restaurant.

We expected a bit more for the money, such as a decent TV, and room cleaning without having to ask. The receptionist failed to adequately inform us on how it all worked. The (big) room was nice in size but poor in other aspects, disappointing for its price tag.

The place to stay in the heart of Otterlo!

The room and bathroom were on the tight side. The day we arrived, we'd had a rough travel day from Gouda, and hoped to check in an hour early, but it was not possible. The twisty staircase to get to one's room is very narrow and help was not offered although I admit I did not ask either.

The hotel was in an excellent location for accessing the National Park by bike or bus. There is a Spar grocery store across the street as well as several restaurants. and bike rental locations. There are free bikes in the park. Otterlo is a very small and charming village, and this hotel sits in the center. The rooms had big windows, and unique decorating touches giving them a boutique feel. We had to move out of our rooms after the first night and share a larger room the 2nd night because the hotel was sold out the second night. and 2 rooms were not available that night when I made the reservations. The hotel did us the favor of moving our luggage to our new rooms while we were out exploring which made the move painless. The restaurant is very attractive and had inviting outside seating areas as well.

Awkward staff behavior (receptionist at the check in was about to close even if it was just 7pm, while it’s written everywhere that it closes at 10pm), no dinner served but the receptionist had a strange reaction to the request for dinner (written in the signs on the room walls that dinner is served).

Almost no reception / hotel services during our stay in July 2021 (the hotel cafe was closed most of the time, no vending machine to buy for example water, the reception did not provide other services than check-in and out). The hotel does not offer the ability to store bags for a few hours after checking out (which is difficult since we had museum reservations on the day we checked out and we had to carry our luggage with us). Room temperature issue- a fan and a portable AC unit were available but since the window had to stay open for the AC unit to send out the air, the room temperature stayed quite high (we stayed during warm summer nights). No refrigerator in the room (difficult not to have that for cold water in the summer). The shower area did not have a holder to place shower gel on etc.

Stayed at the Rembrandt room on the 2nd floor. It was nicely decorated, clean and included a krups nespresson coffeemaker and capsules for a great coffee break :) Great skylights in the roof and light in the room! Central location, can walk to nearby cafes and restos (but do keep in mind that most close by 10pm). Walking distance to bike rental place.

The automatic lights in the bathroom were annoying to me. They are really bright and there is no way to turn them down or off.

Our room was very comfortable, breakfast was good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We booked for 4 days and extended another 3 because it was so relaxing and close to the National Park de Hoge Veluwe and Kröller-Müller museum. There is a Spar grocery store down the street as well as a very good bike shop. We will be back!
