Despite being clearly aimed at business travellers, when you moved away from the ground floor and breakfast area, things felt a little tired and dated. In several corridors and - very annoyingly - in our bathroom, the halogen (!) lights flickered and strobed. We were a party of 4 in two rooms, and although we had booked the Superior Queen Room Extra for both couples, one of the rooms was considerably larger than the other. I accept that there could be some variance due to the different layouts to optimize space, but particularly in the bathroom the discrepancy was too large. The hair dryer was a wall mounted fossil from the 80's. There were no power or USB points anywhere near the bed, so phones had to be placed elsewhere in the room to charge overnight. But perhaps the most annoying thing was the TV, or lack thereof. The TV, which initially worked for an hour or so, suddenly froze and then we could not watch any more TV after that. When we reported this to reception, they informed us that it was a hotel wide problem that they did not expect to be resolved during our stay. Indeed, we subsequently saw there were signs in the lift and lobby informing people of the issue, and that it had been like that for a while. The casting feature did not work at all. To me, especiallly in a business hotel where regular guests may just want to relax in their room in the evening, this was unacceptable, yet no compensation, nor even an apology, was offered. The quality and speed of the internet also plummeted during peak periods like early evening.

We arrived in Trondheim early in the morning but were already able to check into our rooms, which was really nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Perhaps the best feature of the stay was the breakfast. There was a truly extensive and quality selection of foods on offer, and items were quickly replenished when running low. The location is also perfect, with a short walk to either the new Solside area (which has lots of bars and restaurants) and the town centre, as well as the main attractions.

The room is small and pretty basic. There is no outside window (my room was looking at the atrium) and as an alternative I was offered a room without view - facing a wall. I couldn't find a way to stop the air-condition or put it at precise temperature.

The breakfast is superb and the location of the hotel is very convenient.

Breakfast on weekends starts at 7:30 which is a bit late for people catching early flights; we were really sorry to miss our last breakfast for our 9:30 AM flight

Excellent location and excellent breakfast! I didnt like the carpet in the room and being right on a central street, it was quite loud on Friday and Saturday night (people going to nearby bars and clubs) (We were on the 3rd floor, perhaps it was less noisy at higher floors (?) But overall I liked it and I would book again

I found operating the lift from the entrance used for arrivals by taxi a little challenging, and this entrance was remote from the Reception desk. A second reception at this entrance would be helpful and make arrival at the hotel more welcoming.

The hotel was beautifully and conveniently located in Bakklandet, overlooking the river. I was fortunate to have a lovely view over the river from my room, which was very comfortable and perfect for my needs. Breakfast was very good. I would stay there again.

No lift to the ground floor so trying to get a very heavy suitcase down there was challenging!!

Location was great, room was fairly standard nothing particularly stood out except for the pillows - they were exceptional! Breakfast was good, lots of choice although the fruit wasn't particularly nice and looked tired even when I went to breakfast at 8.00am. The reception staff were lovely, really welcoming and helpful.
