There was a musty smell in the hall and corridor. I appreciate this may have been due to the age of the building.

It fronts onto a busy street and there’s a construction project right next door so if you want quiet, ask for a room away from the front of the house and on the east side. The traffic didn’t keep me awake, quieter at night. Shower was a bit weird, had trouble setting it up to shower all of me without detaching it and using it as a hand-held shower. China teacups too small to make an instant coffee half milk so I had tea instead. Flat white in breakfast room was good.

The room was very nice, with a window that opened and a small balcony with doors that opened, two big arm chairs to sit in. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, especially the Eggs Benedict. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Easy walking to the sights of Christchurch and restaurants.

It would have been nice to have a fan to move air as was too hot with windows open and bugs got in. Just a minor thing, loved the room.

Hosts and breakfast was great. Fantastic location.

I'm a tad over six feet in the old measure and needed to be wary of low beams in a few places.

A historic house a block from the art gallery and temporary museum. A ten minute walk to the CBD. Cute room. Comfortable bed. Walk across the park to get the bus to the airport ($4 a ticket).

The reception area is looking very tired & could do with a makeover.

The room was very spacious. The breakfast room was clean & the breakfast was good. It was good to sit in the loungeroom after we returned from dinner.

Interesting property, colonial character and comfortable rooms. Well located for central Christchurch and attractions such as Quake City and botanical gardens. Hosts were extremely accommodating, and able to find a room for us for extra two nights after flight was cancelled. Also able to provide transport to airport.

Didn't replace a towel that was dirty or provide more instant coffee when depleted.

Great location, exceptional breakfast, unique Victorian design and vintage furniture, but with all the current amenities. Coffee and tea bar in room, frig, cold water, fresh cream for coffee

    Nothing.

The room was clean, the bathroom was lovely and the spa worked perfectly. Tracey was lovely and did our clothes washing for a small fee. The eggs Benedict for breakfast was the best I've ever had. Definitely would stay here again.
