Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandOur room 210 was noisy with street noise most of the night. We realise that is out of the hotel's control but we will ask for a quieter room next time.
The beds are comfortable and the linen clean.

New ZealandWe couldn't open the windows and there was no air con. We had to leave the door open as I can't stand no air flow in a small room. I probably wouldn't stay again for this reason, however was still good value for money, especially if you don't plan on spending too much time in the room
Free buffet breakfast was great. Probably the highlight. The room we had was very basic. Not much too it. Good value for money!

New ZealandThe bathrooms in the rooms were old & dated. There were no plug points beside bed for phone charging. There was a major lack of car parking at this hotel - I had to park at an overnight carpark around corner & move my car by 6am the next day. Staff didn’t know if where else to park in the area.
The breakfast was great & the price for room including breakfast was awesome. Staff were friendly.

AustraliaWe paid the accommodation fee on the day of the stay, but tax and service fees were added to the price at the time of reservation, so it seemed expensive. At other hotels, it was included in the price at the time of reservation, so why wasn't this hotel included in the price? We had to book for a car spot and they charged $20 per day for car spot which we did not know.
Continental hot Breakfast was a good. We enjoyed that.

New ZealandThere was no wardrobe rail in this room, and nowhere to put luggage. While there were several coat hangers on a hook on the back of the bathroom door, we didn’t want to risk tearing it out of the door by hanging two entire sets of protective gear on a single small hook - so our luggage, jackets, and touring pants all had to sit on the floor, making it hard to get around the room.
My partner and I travelled on motorcycles. We stayed in a corner room on the third floor, overlooking streets from both windows. The room had a shower over bath setup, with sufficient toiletries. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast has plenty of options. The coffee from the machine isn’t great, but you can make a pretty decent one if you start with an espresso shot from the machine and top it up to taste with hot water and milk. Filter coffee is also offered.

New ZealandThe windows in the bathroom were drafty so the room was cold. No other heating. Also the windows in the bedroom let the rain in and there was a considerable amount of water on the window sill and the table. As a result the room appeared damp.
The breakfast was adequate with a good selection of food.

New ZealandVery dated and small rooms, no restaurants or bars and a bit of an eyesore on the outside. I’d be surprised if the property will still be around in 10 - 15 years.
Location not to far from down town and University is 5 mins up the road. The included Buffet breakfast is decent and offsets the older rooms somewhat.
