Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe buffet lunch it was too pricey even though there was a 25 per cent discount, and there are no options for the Littlene to choose from. There should be an area for the toodler food . The room and the balcony need to be refurbished as it was too old and rundown
We like the room was very spacious, the room has a balcony with a good scenery as it was opposite by the sea and poolside. There was a shuttle service from the hotel to MOA,therefore, we are allowed to do some shopping and soft play with our little one .there were a cot for our toodler. The check-in lady was very helpful, she ask to prioritise that we could check in early as we have a 2yr. Old son, that was a bonus.

JapanWe had to queue one hour at our arrival to check in, as the hotel had just introduced a new payment system and the staff was not used to it. I'm not blaming the staff but I wonder: why was this issue not better anticipated by the direction? Besides we ordered a extra bed and they forgot to deliver it, so I had to remind the front office about it a few hours later. Room was fine but overall furniture and equipments look a bit old.
The pool area is fun, both for adults and kids. The breakfast buffet is great. In the evening we tried one of the hotel restaurants, Cocos, which I also recommend. And go visit Whiskers, the hotel refuge for stray cats. They do a great job.

GermanyQuite expensive breakfast charge for additional guests and a very long waiting time in the queue until you can enter. For such a hotel i would expect a better structure and avoiding of 30 minutes waiting time to enter breakfast. Very long check-in time after arrival as well, waiting around 40 minutes in a queue to start check-in.
Excellent breakfast choices, very nice coffee shop and pattisserie at "Le Bar", friendly smiling staff in all areas of the hotel, balcony with great view.

PhilippinesWe had difficulty in using the elevator since not all are operational that time only 2 were functioning, so there was a long queue at the lobby.
Breakfast super yummy except that I want more of Japanese Cuisine. Room accommodation is good and the room is very clean and very relaxing. We are not able to swim in the pool with the limited time we had but I find it nice and very clean as well as well maintained.

SwitzerlandNot enough at all to drink of water two small bottles in the middle of the summer, why put a window with blind in front of the sink with vue of our bed that I don’t get it, a deposit 20’000 pesos for two at the check in cold me up at the beginning, it could not wait a day. No specifications of booking.com or the hotel for that policy. The lady didn’t tell us where was the swimming pool. Very formal the entrance with scan of our things at the entrance. Empty fridge with out any drinks?
Clean, changed the beds sheets and towels every day, the swimming pool is good size with slides for kids, bar in the water, enough chairs to lye down, vue with balcony on the baies, no noise ,

United States of AmericaAir-conditioning in our room doesn’t work. Phone service and Wifi randomly disconnects. You can only avail of the buffet discount upon CHECKING-IN. Otherwise, you have to pay full price if you decide to eat at the Spiral buffet the next day. Checking out: get in line early as it’s a long wait! Food in the buffet is average, the staff makes it 5-star though. Some of the pool slides doesn’t work (actually, only 1 slide works duringnour stay), the pool water has leaves and not as clear also. Overall, not really impressed with the room compared to other 5-star hotels we’ve been to, but that’s just me.
Location is about 10mins drive to Mall of asia, 15minutes to Ayala malls. Staff are very helpful and respectful. My kids enjoyed the Cat sanctuary

United KingdomHad to queue to check in which wasn't a good start. It was a very busy hotel with too many people eating at any one time for breakfast so I didn't feel relaxed or comfortable with the packed out environment. From the pics and description from the hotel I thought there was a beach front walk and access to manilla bay but there wasn't so disappointed as that's the reason I booked this hotel.
Huge hotel with lovely pool and great choice and variety of foods for breakfast. Rooms are clean and good size for an upgraded version not sure what the standard rooms are like.

AustraliaThe lifts were so damn slow. Six elevators and only one rocks up at the one time. Super frustrating and i took the fire stairs one time after waiting 15 mins for a lift.
The buffet breakfast at this hotel is second to none. Rarely have i found a hotel with a cheese room in the buffet section. Live stringed instruments serenading us while we ate dinner every night. Incredibly good stay and much enjoyed.

PhilippinesSo far none despite the outdated rooms.
This was my first stay at the Sofitel Hotel, and despite its age, the rooms are well-preserved and maintained. The staff were courteous and accommodating. The food at Spiral was plentiful and delicious, offering a wide variety. They also graciously accommodated our request for a late check-out.

AustriaSorry to say, we did not enjoy our stay at all! The hotel was crowded, long queues for check in and elevaters, the same for the breakfast buffet. No space at the pool at all. Sunset bar was blocked by a promotion event. Friday to Sunday seem to be too crowded to book this hotel due to multiple events and staycation guests. By the way, there is no sea view any more from the Sunset bar due to a huge construction site in front of the hotel.
