Amazing location within the walls of the town, just a five minute walk from the castle and truly stunning views. Room was very comfortable and quiet, breakfast was great.

João is just professional: as soon as we arrived Marvão in the parking place, he come up to us to introduce himself. All the information that he shared with us, from parking space, introduction to the rooms and facilities to how we check in and out, was just so clear and straight forward, in a very friendly and pleasant way. The coworkers here were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very delightful. The house itself is a historical building but the rooms are very good renovated and very well equipped, clean, cozy, traditional and vintage. The experience was so great, we're very regretted that we stayed only for one night and can only recommend!

The position is excellent. The owner is a very helpful and friendly man who speaks good English and the other staff I met were also lovely. Breakfast in the breakfast room was generous and fresh. Well catered. In general comment on Marvao itself, obviously the streets are very narrow and parking is available in various places. If you can judge it without previously being there, choose a parking spot at the higher elevation as carrying your luggage is difficult and bag wheels on cobblestone streets don't work.

First of all, the location is perfect, everything is close by. I stayed 2 nights. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, furnished with period furniture and absolutely neat and clean. And, the main treasure is the owner of the hotel, friendly and competently solving any question of the guests. Breakfast and WI-FI are also good.

love this property! good location right in the village. if you are driving, better to take a smaller car as the road through the villages to the parking can be a sweat. Joao the owner was super friendly, welcoming and made us feel at home. you can step right out of the property & explore the village by foot.

Excellent location in the middle of the village, easy walk from the village gate so you don’t have to drive the narrow streets. Friendly, knowledgeable host who spoke English. Comfortable room with some extra space.

The host Joao is super nice and accommodating, with restaurant recommendations as well as letting us cook our dinner in the kitchen. 5 mins walk to the castle for a beautiful sunset and view of the surroundings.
