Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A little noisy with windows open but it is a city!
Swimming pool , and fab breakfast - good location and can walk into Porto . Good Ubers to get back !

We experienced some bites, unsure if they were from the room or elsewhere, despite the room appearing clean. Although we were relocated, there was skepticism regarding our discomfort from the bites. Additionally, while the hotel is aesthetically pleasing and convenient for Uber rides, it's quite distant from tourist areas with limited bus or metro options, and lacks nearby dining or grocery options. Furthermore, the heated pool was disappointingly cold, with only one section of warm jacuzzi, leading to overcrowding.
Our stay was exceptional; the room was comfortable and well-equipped, ensuring a restful night. The breakfast offered was delicious and varied, catering to our tastes. The reception staff provided outstanding service, enhancing our overall experience.

The toilet would not flush properly and the breakfast was super expensive.
It was clean and had everything we could posssibly need. The bed was really comfortable and that’s rare!

The breakfast is okay, there’s a lot of choice (your typical continental hotel breakfast) but it’s probably not worth it, at least for me, since it’s about 4 times as expensive as a big breakfast in a local bar. But depends on your preferences.
The staff was super lovely. The rooms were spotless, spacious and very comfortable. Great value for money. I enjoyed the rooftop bar for working and both of the swimming pools!

The room wasn't perfectly clean (under the bed an in the bathroom). The breakfast wasn't as nice as you could expect of a 5-stars. Quite far from city center.
Very nice staff. Nice to have two pools. Rooms really nice for 3 people. Good facilities around.

The music at the pool was too loud and 'party music' would have preferred calmer style during the day. Need more soft beds - the seating is super hard resin blocks - which look cool but are not comfortable at all. Also really heavy if you need to move them into the shade etc I though the staff were rather 'stand offish'. Efficient but not very smily and friendly I didnt really see the point of having a TV in the lounge playing sport but with the volume off...
Everything was smart and nice, just a bit lacking in atmosphere. Breakfast was very nice and good value @ Euros 17

Location was dreadful, nice hotel with nice staff but expensive as it was out out the town.
I didn’t have breakfast too expensive. The location was very remote with nothing nearby. I arrived at 9pm and there was nowhere to go so I had no choice but to order room service . A long walk into the town centre which took over an hour so very poor for location and only a view of the road from the room.

A/C didn’t seem to work. It kept blowing warm air instead of cold.

Heaters are needed on the roof top so you can enjoy the view even when it's a bit cold. Not the greatest view from the room The aircon was not working

Location was not as good as we hoped as it was a bit further from the centre.

I don't know why but my room seemed to be poorly isolated. We woke up everyday to a lot of noises from the next rooms and the hallway. A bit tough.
Amazing service, facilities and personel. The rooms are quite big and well equipped. Everyone was incredibly nice and they even got me a little surprise on my birthday. Really enjoyed the bar, spa and rooftop too.
