Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaIt's pretty basic. No facilities such as a restaurant or cafe. But given the number of places on this street that's a non issue. The stairs are steep but we all need the exercise.
Optimal location. The hotel has charm. It's an older building and the furniture is dated but I think that it exudes character. The staff is great. The room we had was huge with a wonderful view. In fact it was two rooms and could sleep 5.

GreeceThis is a small hotel located at the city center of Coimbra. It has the feel of a family run establishment - staff is very friendly and accommodating. Its location could not be any better. The rooms of the hotel overlook the town square and major historical sites were all within walking distance. Considering its quality and location, the price is very reasonable.

SpainIt's a pity that you can't have breakfast at the hotel, otherwise everything was perfectly fine.
Better than many 3-star hotels in other cities. I had a spacious room with a view on the main square and the river, it was very quiet at night and the internet went well. The staff was very nice and helpful, and everything was clean. The location is also perfect if you need to go to the university or want to do tourism. I can't complain about anything. I would definitely come back!

United States of AmericaThe room didn't have enough electircal outlets for my devices. I had to disconnet the lights and move the chairs to be able to use and chage my mobile.
the hotel is well-located right in center of town and an easy walk from the train station. I arrived early, and the friendly staff invited me to leave my bag in secuire storage while I toured the town. When I got bak, it was very simple to retrieve the bad and check in. The room was small-ish but clean and efficient wit a nice view of the central square The main staff were pleasant. I would stay eher again

ItalyThe hotel is so well located with nice views of the river. The lady at the reception so nice and kind. The room was perfectly clean, as well as the bathroom. Excellent shower. Furniture needs some renovation, but it's part of the overall atmosphere. All main attractions at walking distance. No breakfast available but there are a couple of good cafeterias few metres away (literally). There is no lift, beware. All in all a place that I would recommend and return.

BrazilThe only drawback is that the hotel does not have lifts, the staff will help with luggage, but if you have mobility limitations, this may be a problem.
Not fancy but comfortable. Cleanness surprised us, we couldn’t find a spot of dust. The hotel is managed by a family with a staff that are always ready to help. The location is wonderful, with stores, restaurants and “pastelarias”, or coffee shops all around. In less than 50 meters (or yards) you can enjoy A Briosa, one of the best coffee shops in Coimbra. They don’t serve breakfast, but with so many options around, it may be an advantage, as you can have different experiences during your stay. The hotel is in front of a square and the area is always busy, but the sound proof windows leave all the noise outside. We definitely would come back to Hotel Larbelo.
