Room had a strange smell and bathroom could be renovated. The shower was not working fully well, not stable pressure and difficult to set up hot and cold.

Walking distance into town, about 10mins, but some pubs and restaurants close by also! Staff very friendly, very clean. Outdoor pool is fab! Room clean and comfortable also, the sea view was amazing also!! It was my birthday during the stay and they surprised me with a cake and wine in the room!

The coffe was rather bitter could change to a better product.

Very spacious with large balcony and sea views made for a very pleasant stay of 14 days. Only one complaint was the room next door smoking on the balcony which permeated our room. Having COPD and asthma it caused some irritation but luckily was on our last two days.

Dinner is ok but definitely place for improvement. Portions from grill has way too much salt.

Room big enough having nice view to the sea. One of the few hotels having direct access to the sea. Good sport activity possibilities: guided classes, good gym with spinning classes, dive center, tennis court, billiard tables. Hotel has one sauna in the spa and one with indoor swimming pool. Saunas were ok though outdoor swimming pool sauna is for 3 - 4 person and its upper board is weak. I do not recommend 3 big guys at the same time sit there.

Continues to be a well run hotel. Peaceful. Very clean. Good variety of food. Guest Services always willing to help and provide good customer service. In walking distance and on bus route to Funchal.

Superb place with comfy rooms with sea view close to shops and local amenities. It is easily reachable by the airport shuttle bus or taxi/car and well equipped to relax and recover after your Madeira island hopping trips. Dinning in the half board restaurant is a must try in a lifetime.

Spacious room that included everything we needed The staff was friendly and helpful. Infinity pools are amazing, I appreciated that they offer special towels for the pools. Breakfast and dinner very diverse and the food was tasty.

The person in the room next to us was smoking on his balcony and the smoke came across to us and into our room.

The hotel is not a 5 star and you feel that even in the superior premium rooms which lack basic amenities like plugs next to your bed and light switches where they should be. The hotel does not offer drinks on half board, so you pay for everything including water as there aren't any filtered water supplies anywhere in the building or at meals. The food choices at dinner were limited and we chose to eat out more often as it was not very tasty. Lighting in the room was very dim with one ceiling light for the entire room and 2 lamps that did not turn on.

The facilities of the hotel are lovely and the staff are always happy to help. The beds were comfortable.

Location was perfect - so close to small supermarket, car hire, bars, restaurants and a short walk into the city. Hotel was very modern, food was lovely, facilities were amazing! Hotel staff were so helpful and polite! We were leaving at 4am and they provided a light breakfast for us! Highly recommend this hotel!
