Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBreakfast could be better (a bit more variety), WiFi was pretty poor (though it's a good place to disconnect).
View!, the property and grounds, the bed and room was huge, as was the terrace. Quiet. Restaurant food was delicious.

UkraineMinor things : 1) no any fridge in the room so you can't have any cooled drinks or food which is not really ok 2) a bit an issue with sound insulation on doors and walls, so neighbors are closer then supposed to be 😉 3) no any bath, disposable slippers which obviously required for visiting terrace or even simple disposable sanitary kits 4) no anti mosquito protection on the windows so you will get a ot of bad guys inside of the room
Great location in the silence and nature with great view on Lisboa. Friendly and helpful staff.

United KingdomThe devil is in the detail - just staying on top of the small touches. Also there is a slight smell of sewage in the toilets - but I expect this comes with the territory of fazenda (farmhouse) plumbing...
Pound for pound this is one of the best hotels in Lisbon. While it may not be true 5* luxury in terms of facilities & finish, it makes up in abundance in those things which are not as easily put on paper ... beautiful views around every corner, a true sense of calm, and a feeling of home. The breakfast is also up there with the best.

Czech RepublicEverything was wonderful! Unique experience! If you travel by car to Lisbon, it’s the best accommodation. Pedro & Gonzalo were super lovely, great chat! Top notch breakfast. I’d love to repeat although I never do that… but New Year’s Eve must be amazing there! Also nearby surroundings are wow! Cleanliness, staff, everything… 10! Felt like home away from home really.

United KingdomThe facilities though are looking tired and in need of some care and attention. The garden loungers have seen better days and the balcony decking and furniture looked shabby. In the room, (Pinheiro) a couple of chairs would improve the comfort as it was quite basic. The bathroom needs some TLC.... There were some power issues while there.
New Years Eve Dinner was excellent, great food and excellent wines. The service was super and the views of Lisbon for the fireworks was wonderful. It was great to walk around the gardens, super views across the Tagus to the city. The room was quite big with loads of space. The staff were great, friendly and helpful.

United KingdomIt was all great, only thing lacking was snacks - it's quite a remote location & you're reliant on the restaurant schedule in general
Breakfast was great, location was stunning & the experience in general was something we will carry with us for a very long time.

United KingdomIf there’s one thing I should point is that you should have more water in the rooms.
We liked everything about it. We have been before in 2014 for our wedding night but we only spend the night and half a day next day, so we didn’t really get to enjoy it. This time we stayed 2 nights in a better room. We stayed in one of the rooms with river view and it definitely was the room with the best view. I will attach photos because the views are just breathtaking. The food was really good and although was expensive, we went for dinner in Lisbon city centre, and the prices were about the same. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel and both were quite good. The service was really good, the guys definitely go the extra mile to make you feel at home and the location is really good because it’s only about 20min taxi drive to Lisbon city Centre and Costa da Caparica. We will definitely be back some time soon.

SwedenWe had problems with our air condition. When it was switched on, water was dropping to the floor, and actually not just dropping, it was pouring. I informed the reception right away. They promised to take care of it. Nothing happened. We had then put the trash can under the a/c and put out a towel on the floor. The water would have ruined the floor and wall otherwise. I spoke to the reception again and was then informed that it would be taken care of after we had left, in 5 days. Not what we wanted to hear. Following day was cooler and we didn’t switch on the a/c. Third day it started pouring again. Once again I spoke to the receptionist, which i understand reported the matter to someone else. Well, nothing happened this time either. And we left after five days without having it fixed. If we hadn’t dried the floor, put out the trash can and also had the a/c switched off the last days, the damages of this room would have been severe. It is hard to understand why the hotel doesn’t take more action on severe issues like this. A destroyed hotel room can not be cheap and easy to fix.
I would like to start with that I really liked this place. We had a car, which I really recommend, and it was a perfect location as a start for driving around and explore that part of Portugal. We also spent some days at the beach, Costa Caparica, which is only 10 min away. Location is also beautiful, with a fantastic view over Lisbon city. Staff is super nice and helpful. Some things were less good, see below. Breakfast is a la carte, with everything you could wish. The dinner menu is good with reasonable prices and food is good. Uber taxi to Lisbon centre costs 16-20 Euros. Everything together made it a very good choice for us during our five days in the Lisbon area. What happened under the grumpy guy below was bad, but we still liked the hotel very much.
