Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MaltaLoud construction work from 7am till late without being informed, dust in ventilators, unclean windows, dusty carpet, smell of cigarettes, given a room with a bed missing and having to wait till the next day for an alternative to be found, rooms are definitely not sound proof, brown water when turning on the hot water and white water when turning on the cold, and people smoking in the non smoking area and not being stopped.
The variety of TV channels and the hotel location.

United KingdomThe location of the hotel is perfect for sightseeing and tourists looking to be nearby the main attractions but with easier parking access than in Stari Grad. Many food options around the hotel: bakeries, local food, foreign fast-food chains, etc. The hotel Slavija Garni shares the garage parking with the other Slavija hotel right across the street, you will always find more than one spot.

SerbiaIt is relatively low priced, but even that is too much for what they offer.
It is tolerable for a short stay. The location is very good, but not much else is there to recommend.

GermanyGarage is not hotel's dedicated garage, but shared garage in the neighborhood. It probably will happen that people working at garage ask you to leave them car and car's keys - so they can move your car around the garage (garage is poorly organized with not enough capacity and cars are blocking each other). Compared to similar hotels from SFRJ era, Slavija is in worse condition, renovated last time many years ago.
Staff is OK.

CanadaI will simply never be back into the facilities of the Slavia Garni, it is all so old, dirty, and needs total renovation
The facilities are old, very dated, and the cleaning is not possible to be done properly, since many of the washroom facilities need replacement, carpets are dirty, as well as the inside covers for the beds. Really, there is only that location is ok, stuff too, the rest is truly near to nonsense.

AustriaNo soap or any shampoo or even hand soap in the room. A bit dirty. Building and everything is very old and needs to be repaired. For the same price I have stayed in much better places in Belgrad. Only "good" thing was a clean and comfortable bed. Generally i am disappointed

United KingdomPeople write in their reviews that hotel is old but I think that's its niche & makes it special. Bed and hot water was there and we did not need more than that for 3-night-stay. Hotel staff was efficient and helpful in organising taxi to the airport at night time.

SerbiaI am sorry to say that the interior of this hotel is tired and smelly. The hotel is in much need of modernisation and it would benefit with some proper industrial cleaning, because the stale smell lingers all over the place. During our 1-nighr stay the staff were bordering on aggressive, they were rather rude when we wanted to see the restaurant on the 7th floor (@21.40h), clearly prefering to be elsewhere and doing something else. We experienced poor customer service and would not be coming back until we hear that the hotel has been redecorated and that it is under different management
the location met our needs very well. and the bedding was OK.

BulgariaExpected more of the hotel. The pictures uploaded on the profile are "touched" and have nothing to do with the real situation. Hotel looks like socialist like hotel from 50 years ago. Customer service is like from socialist era. Rooms (toilets) were dirty and not clean enough
Location. Right next to Slavija square, all kind of public transport around the city. Price was good. Stuff was ok (could be a little but more friendly).

Bosnia and HerzegovinaIt is supposed to be better version of hotel Slavija but ot's actually worse. When I clicked light switch it jumped out of wall, water was running all the time as you could not turn off faucet and you could hear people next to you like they were with you in the room. And it's not even cheapest hotel around
