A real gem in the centre of Gothenburg. Much nicer than the usual bland branded hotels. Impeccably clean and with great style inside. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Breakfast was excellent with much greater choice than the usual cheese and ham. The staff were always obliging and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here.

The only negative part of the experience was we had bought pastries the day prior and had left them in a box on the table in the room. Housekeeping came by the next day and when we returned that night, they had thrown the box of pastries away! Of note we did not need or want housekeeping, but there was no sign for the door to indicate that. Additionally, the walls between rooms are on the thinner side which had bothered the other guest as she could hear the room next door talking late into the night.

This was a very comfortable historic hotel in central Gothenburg. The rooms were very quaint and cozy with comfortable beds. We loved the fika they served both days we were there- complementary delicious homemade pastries and coffee! This hotel is within walking distance of the train station and also to many sites within the city. I would definitely stay here again.

I loved this charming hotel and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel itself has a cosy and elegant feeling and my room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff was super-friendly and made me feel welcome and cared for. I was travelling for business, but thanks to the very central position I was still able to have a walk through Gothenburg's city centre!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is from the mid-19th century, not part of any of the chains, very lovely and charming. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was really nice with different options to pick from. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

What’s not to like? HR will always be a 10. Independant hotel, family owned and customer service oriented, it’s a gem we found 2 years ago and were glad to come back. Clean, fresh, wonderful class and character. Perfect decor, wallpaper, furnishings, artwork. The 2pm cake of the day is a treat which we hovered around like hungry vultures. Victor on reception is a charming and entertaining host and we hope he’s still there next time, great sense of humour. Great home away from home, see you next time folks.

The only "negative" side was soundproof. My room was on the street side, and I could hear some traffic noises. However I am quite sensitive to noise in general, so I travel always with earplugs, and with them on I didn't have any issues. :)

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast. I also liked the interior of the hotel. Weather in Gothenburg was rainy and windy, so it was really nice to have hot beverages and some cake available in the lobby. Will definitely stay here again, if I visit here in the future.

The hotel is in the centeral of the city, it is easy to anywhere with public transpotions. Our room was quiet and cozy. The breakfast is very delicious. The staff was very supportive.

The lighting in the single room was a little dim, but it was not a big deal and I could accept it. In addition, I think the only fault I could find was that the sound insulation was not good. My room was facing the street and there were often garbage trucks or trucks making loud noises at five in the morning.

The room is very cozy, clean and well laid out. The hotel is located next to the train station, in the city center, surrounded by many large shopping malls for shopping and dining. The hotel's decoration is also very beautiful and retro. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel's breakfast is very delicious, with a wide variety of options, and you can make your own waffles. There is a bakery and beverage in the lobby, which tastes very good. This hotel is very cost-effective. If I come to Gothenburg next time, I will definitely book this hotel again.

Nothing not to like

Beautiful hotel, less than 5 minutes walk from the bus/ rail station on the edge of the main shopping district. Staff were really helpful and found us a room that was ready even though we were very early in arriving. Best breakfast buffet we've ever experienced. So much choice and great quality. Unlimited free hot drinks and sweeties + cake in the foyer was a lovely torch also
